BENTLEY Bentley for Men Absolute Review

The perfumer who created Absolute is Michel Almairac, and he created it in 2014 I think. Michel also created Gucci Pour Homme I (not version II) in 2003, and Absolute has almost exactly the same notes as the Gucci Pour Homme I. In 2018 Michel created another scent that improves on this same DNA named Papyrus Oud /71. All three scents smell similarly and are considered by some as masterpieces (that's why Michel created so many "duplicates"). The scent has many notes, but the ones that are most prominent to me are incense, papyrus and woods. The dry down of all 3 scents is heavenly (where amber is more apparent) and different from the opening. It's a beautiful scent, but not to everyone's liking. It may smells like Home Depot to you is because of the lumber they sell. And on me, it lasts all day (8 hours).

Ive just bought this a few days ago and what I've found so far is a very woody Cedar opening but and hour in that disappears and it becomes very similar to Prada Black which is my favourite fragrance. For me the dry down is far superior to the opening and that's when the Amber makes an appearance.

Something different after 4 months? Intense needed few months to macerate,juice to change color, performance to get better. Absolute is more serious than playful fragrance. It's all subjective. Ok maybe in years you'll start to like it :)

Three days back after testing 10 ml decant I purchased full bottle 2023 september month batch.After the initial blast the fragrance projects about 10 minutes a.fter that it gets weakend and turns as just a skin scent.Even on clothes about 10 sprays its performance disappoints in cold weather.Totally waste of money.Although it has iso e super which creates olfactory fatigue but. Still its performance inrecent bathes is very bad. Do not know how earlier batches performed. 9:44

I ended up gifting this bottle. I wasn't a fan. Weak performance with an ok scent dna. Thanks for sharing your honest experience on the channel.

@@chrissteelfrags Many times you tube reviewers writes misguided description.And it's a bad things in this field.My 2022 decant has longevity of 10 hours but this 2023 batch fails in projection and longevity. Very disappointing experience.Please share among perfumes affectionate s that never get tempted to buy it in future.
