Excellent comparison and review. I just bought a 2006 Coupe with 21,000 miles and love it. Also have a Boxster for the other end of the fun spectrum. Your comments on the weak points were very realistic and reassuring compared to the hysteria on many videos about the vacuum tubes and suspension. Will be putting in a surround view camera system and updated infotainment system with CarPlay etc for just under $7,000 which is cheaper than going for a post 2012 to get the same thing, although of course it won't increase the sale price too much when I decide to sell it. However, the car should outlast me as I am getting well down the other side of the age hill.

Seen video in 6/24 I own since new the Flying Spur. 2007, with 30K miles. I don't recall any issues with the car. Still own and maintenance is the key to maintaining any automobile. When you buy these automobiles new or used you know you have to put money in them. This is not the type of car you can let things go on. I never done that. Thank you. I live in Clearwater Beach Florida.

@@presidentialautodelray ive had a few Bentley ‘s ( GT and GTC) . The core thing in the pre 2014 models is the air suspension because there are always issues around 70k miles and they are only replaced in pairs There are also issues with the suspension bushes , radiator, hoses , rear brake light , key ( gbp 1500 pounds for a key lol ) the electrics and audio system my last repair bill from Bentley on a GTC which had the air suspension changed was a cool GBP 🇬🇧 pounds 18, 000 ( including main dealer service and labour and parts ) …. as the left air suspension unit went and they replaced both …… i didn’t get any issues though with the gtc roof over 4 years so happy with that but you do need deep pockets to own a bentley and correct you need an aftermarket “ super car “ warrenty….

Interesting review. I wonder why the keys should be so expensive, the price list shows something around 500-600 Euros for 2 keys and around 650 for 3 (with valet) We replaced a set of two for around 500 Euros some years ago. Compare this to my Smart 453, they wanted 320 Euros for 1 key at the Merc Dealer (incl. programming). I realized a dream two weeks ago and bought a convertible 2009 with Mulliner specs. I knew that maintenance is expensive but do yourself a favour, dont look on the part and repair-costs cause you wont buy one afterwards- it ist really depressing. Iam a guy with normal income...and a little passion.

Actually you can buy the key blanks much cheaper online and program them yourself with software you can buy online (Ross-Tech). You can also source Audi parts much cheaper than the Bentley counterparts.
@presidentialautodelray4 жыл бұрын
You're right, we have tried some aftermarket blanks for the older models, but found they feel much cheaper, lighter, and don't hold up as long as an original Bentley key. And LOTS of Audi parts will crossover for these cars and that alone will save you a ton of money.

Great info here. If only I could afford to buy a used one & afford the expenses to fix any problems. Bentley makes the absolute best looking sedans ever. So, because I can't afford to fix used ones possible problems, I will just save $$$ and buy a used 2023 Genesis G90 with low miles for like $25-$35,000 in a couple of years. After all the Genesis G90 is basically Bentley's breakout to manufacturing their style.

You mention in the Aston Martin Rapide video to pull a specific fuse to keep the exhaust doors open for a more throaty exhaust note. The Bentley GT has a similar system (I own a 2009 Mulliner GT). Is there a corresponding fuse for that system on the Bentley? I know the Bentley exhaust is controlled by a vacuum system, so maybe not?
