Probably your best video to date. Lots of information, hints and tips. Really well edited too. Great job. The only thing I would like to see you also add is the details around your paint corrections. The pads you use, the brand, the size, the brand of ceramic coating, the names of the compounds and polishes you use, the different buffing towel brands etc. Many viewers will be inspired by what you do and if you could help with branding recommendations from your experience etc. it would literally be the perfect video. Please don't take that as a negative though. This is your best material so far and I enjoyed every minute of it. Fantastic work.

Thank you very much! I'll try and do that in my next machine polishing video. I might try and talk to the camera at that stage instead of doing a voice over. I'm glad you've taken something from the videos though!
@markymoo19803 жыл бұрын
@@HarpersCarDetailing it feels more immersive when you're talking to the camera rather than over so definitely give it a go! Your videos are always well made and I think taking them to the next level now with hints, tips, advice and recommendations whilst "showing and telling" will definitely help the newcomers to the detailing world. Another nice bit if info (on paint correction videos) would be the time it's taken from start to finish, cure times, how many pads etc.etc. Again please don't take any of this as negative, I love what you do and its just an outsiders opinion looking on that's all! Have a great weekend mate! 😀

So, when your detailing high dollar vehicles like this, can you actually tell a difference in the quality of materials? (Paint, carpet, leather etc)
@HarpersCarDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Yes for sure. Bentley and Rolls-Royce have lovely leather and fabric however BMW also have amazing fabric, which is very easy to clean. I tend to find that the higher end the car the more paint defects from the manufacturer there are. The most common defect are pigtails which are created from sanding the paint to flatten it which then isn’t machine polished correctly to remove these pigtails.

Hey, question. Why they say that microfiber towels make little micro scratches? Why everyone not use a Chamois for sample?
@HarpersCarDetailing2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t say microfibres scratch paintwork, unless it’s dirty. Chamois are flat and ridged so don’t absorb any potential left over dirt so will easily scratch the car 👍🏼

Great work, But you will need another degreaser. There is no IPA in prep.
@HarpersCarDetailing3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure what you mean here. Gyeon prep might not be isopropyl alcohol-based but it is an alcohol-based degree say specifically designed to clean the panel before applying a ceramic coating.
@quintenqfinish3 жыл бұрын
@@HarpersCarDetailing from what i have learned, is that a degreaser will need IPA in it, to show the real result and wipe away all polish residue. I use Gtechniq panel wipe. You will notice the difference right away.
@HarpersCarDetailing3 жыл бұрын
Gyeon prep is specially designed for this job. It strips all oils from the paint which is why they created it as they are predominately a coating company. They are pretty much the same product but I much prefer Prep as I find Gtechniq too harsh on super soft paint. I’ve been using it for years and haven’t had a coating fail on me. Have a read here www.polishedbliss.co.uk/products/gyeon-q2m-prep
@quintenqfinish3 жыл бұрын
@@HarpersCarDetailing Yes, panel wipe Is hard on soft paints. I dilute it. After using panel wipe, the paint just feels more naked in my opinion. Prep is a good product, i’ll guess it just doesn’t work in harmony with gtechniq coatings. Whatever works for you ! As long as the end result is 💯, everybody is happy 🙏🏼
@HarpersCarDetailing3 жыл бұрын
It should work with Gtechniq, as it’s a generic panel prep. Panel preps don’t add anything to the panel, they just completely strip it of oils so any coatings or polymer based waxes can bond to a naked surface
