The only reason I would want to be filthy rich is to own a car like this! People are always gushing over supercar sports cars but to my mind this is a much better car on real world (bumpy) roads.

probably the only channel which has potential to make successful videos based on older cars which played significant role in world of autos, such as Bentley Arnage T (and those squared straight bentleys: brooklands coupe, azure etc) there is a reason these still cost more than newer continentals. what about Mercedes E classes and S classes from 70s-80s, which helped build reputation for Mercedes. also maybe cars which were significant but did not survive such as TVR and Weismanns etc... which could be presented in the same style as the take on Morgans. IF ANYONE COULD MAKE THOSE VIDEOS OF SUBSTANCE AND SOUL ITS XCAR, PLEASE CONSIDER!

Bentleys are cool and all, but I would hardly call them understated. A Bentley, and a Continental in particular, is one of the cars that seem to be the obligatory members of the car fleet belonging to brash, young, rich people. Footballers, or millionaire bankers who are under 40. People like that. Other cars that people like that seem to find necessary acquisitions are the Ferrari 458 (or whatever their latest entry level mid-engined car is), BMW M3/4, Porsche 911, and Range Rover Sport.

+Scrustle You have a valid point but the car is very understated compared to others of its price class. One wouldn't get nearly as many dropped jaws from a continental than 458 or Huracan. And I must point out your comment about "brash, young, rich people." There is nothing wrong with being rich, and most with wealth are not brash. Being rich is a true accomplishment not something one should be put down over. It's truly a ridiculous statement constantly put upon the wealthy. By the way the average Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche, and BMW drivers are 59, 47, 46, and 49 years old, respectively. Get your facts straight before making ignorant comments.

I used to hate Conti GT with passion and thought it was for pply who needed to be xtraaa loud and shouty about having a few quid. But since the introduction of the V8 i kinda started to like it and now this the V8S i think im falling in LUST.

own3d4u Well several parts from the Bentley, including the engine are shared with other brands from the VW Group. The same way the Touareg, the Cayenne, and the Audi Q7, share the same chassis, it's all VW.

If a car uses modified engine from parent company (which is awesome, but that doesn't matter here) it doesn't make it VW. This is a Bentley made by Bentley (which is owned by Volkswagen). Bentley is NOT a VW as well as Ferrari is not a Fiat and Rolls Royce is not a BMW. Besides, feel free to check logo on the car, it's on the hood, and on the steering wheel too, and on several other parts of the car :)

Luxury weights a lot, I have been inside one and almost every part you can touch is either leather or metal very few plastic parts here, it also have tons of noise isolation. This is a fast luxury car not an sport car.

Unless you've driven a supersports or owned one, please refrain. Supersports is the daddy of Continentals. Ive driven mine daily for past two year. Its hardcore, yet luxurious still. Problem free, and stupid for what it can do, for what it is. Lets not forget same seats as bugatti very, carbon strut bar and largest ceramic brakes or brakes on any production car. v8s is a great car, i've driven one, but still no match for the supersports !

Obviously Bentley is an extremely luxury brand and it brings a peculiar unique image of exclusivity. However, I can't stop thinking than you can get even better cars with far less money with comparable performance, comfort, fuctionally and still with a luxury image. Of course everyone is allowed to spend money however s/he want and buying a car is both a rational and emotional choice but, no matter what's my budget, I wouldn't buy this car.
