Unfortunately the audience wasn't aware that William was hesitating if he should make the joke or not, so he just looked dumb like he couldn't talk. Good thing Sam was there to save him by taking the mic away otherwise it could've been super cringe, "He's my representative. My dad... keeps on... just... eating... while watching TV."
