I used to be very impressed with ultra luxury goods for the rich. Now I realize that the way our economic system is set up, the richer one group becomes, the poorer everybody else is. What good are all these luxury properties when the homeless surround them right at their doorstep? What good is my Bentley if it gets vandalized everywhere I park? How can I enjoy my meal in an upscale restaurant when I look out the window and see ragged-clothed hungry people all over the place? And don't even get me started on all the violence and smash and grab - all the result of extreme economic disparity. Not everyone wants to live in an ultra luxury house, but there should not be this many unhoused people!
