There was a Copperworld Classic in Phoenix that there were so many supermodified wrecks that the cars all ran out of gas from caution laps. Bentley was running that race. About 6 months later I saw him in the pits at Sandusky and asked him what he thought about the Copperworld super modified race. Classic response " Eff'd up"

Saw him run at Dayton Speedway in a super modified race. Quickest cars I ever saw there. It was near the end of the speedway life.

Met him a few times at Lee USA Speedway. True gent, remember 1 of his truck mechanics fixing the infield generator. When it started with a puff of smoke. The announcer said either the lights are going to come on or we have a new pope

He did have a fuel leak that’s that’s what they were scrambling he didn’t have a fuel leak on that race car so that’s why he wasn’t out there long
