I've been a fan of yours for what must have been a year now, (I never played Sonic 06, and I'm not much of a music listener so I found you late). I found you when I was looking up every characters theme, ranging from Sonic Heroes to modern day Sonic media. My top #1 song of all time, (with spoken lyrics), is Dream of an Absolution. While it showcases Silver's troubles, it's nice that you felt open enough to tell us how you felt as a younger Bentley Jones in a harsh and unforgiving world/society. Your work is truly remarkable, and whatever Sega/Sonic team has done to you, know this: If they ever ask for you back, you're too good for them. For them to have denied such a talented and influential/underrated artist in the world of music, which to be honest shapes this world on a great level, is probably not a sin, but at most it's arrogance, and they are too blind to see how good you are. I'm not blaming one of my favorite game developers for anything, but people, I have to defend Bentley Jones. It also came as a surprise that while starting a new save data for Team Sonic racing on my outdated switch, I never realized before that Silvers theme in team Sonic racing had been closely, if not heavily, based off of the original Dream of an Absolution, but of course instrumental. It is sad that Silver never had his theme included in Sonic 06, but I can't talk because I wasn't alive then to have the right to complain. I understand that fans want a more upbeat version of Live and Learn, and that's their choice/perspective, but your work will always be my favorite, Sonic-wise. Anyways, usually when fans are talking to their favorite content creator on anywhere, they tend to be honest that they don't check out all their works, whether because it's not of their interest, or they simply just like what is in their eyes, the best area of practice you're good at. But I'm going to be like those people, who say: "Now, don't get mad, but I don't enjoy all your work, or I missed quite a lot of videos, yadda-yadda, etc." I admit that I don't listen to all your music, but Sonic was a strong part of my childhood besides Pokémon, and it's not that I'm singling out your other works of art, but I just don't have the same vibe with non-videogame music. (I'm probably mental or something), but one more fan, even mental, is better than 5 people hating on you. Keep up the good work, Bentley. I will continue to listen to Dream of an Absolution, and maybe check out your other songs, in the future. Know that you made a huge impact on just one teen, who is nothing significant, but maybe it helps that I show my support for you as a soloist in the music industry.

While not as good as the original, it's a legitimately a good and underrated remix that's a fresh take on this legendary classic. For the idea it was going for, it works. Obviously it's much slower paced take compared to the faster and high energy the original version provided, but it's also a unique and interesting idea you managed to make work. A solid remix that grew on me and I hope it grows on others too. One small complaint. It's "When you can't help but follow"

I must admit, I'm not quite a fan of this version of "Live and Learn". Sounds like it's trying to cater a little too much to the bombastic nature of OSTs from Hollywood movies and sounds like a song that could have fit within a James Bond movie. I think the small instrumental cover of "Live and Learn" from the title logo teaser of Sonic The Hedgehog 3 managed to stay a little more true to the video game, while still sounding new and unique to the movie. But since this version here from Bentley Jones isn't going to be featured in the movie, it will be interesting to see what the actual movie version is gonna sound like and what direction they went for with it.

I don't think this is THAT bad, it's just not as energetic as the original. Which i do understand, i do prefer a more electronic rock version over this. But we gotta remember, movie soundtracks don't work the same as game soundtracks. I think it would probably ruin an emotional scene if you had a hype energetic electronic rock song bustin' it out in the background to Shadow falling without his limiter rings. I think you guys are just thinking of this scene in a way that fits because you want it to fit.

@@nikkzio984 No, sorry, but I wholeheartedly disagree. There's a place for game soundtracks that can work just as well, if not better. This is all about the mentality of what people think movie OSTs needs to sound like, and that has to change in my opinion. Also no, the SA2 game did not play the hype energetic electronic Live and Learn in the background when Shadow fell down to earth after using Chaos Control on the ARK. It played during the initial fight in the game, but once Final Bio-Lizard was defeated and Sonic & Shadow had to stop the ARK from colliding with earth, the game switched songs to a much more dramatic and sad one that perfectly fits within Shadow's sacrifice to save earth.
