So in love?? I bought 2! Blue n sand-this dial is used on many other watches too-not proprietary at all. All I can surmise is mineral vs crystal. Btw- happy subscriber now! I’m in SF & $30 gets my wife’s explorer 5 gallons of petrol. I’d take this any day🏆

Great point. Dont knock it till you try it. Brass was the industry standard for decades so I guess we are spoiled. What gets people upset is that that are lying about the stainless. Its gotta at least be half nice it it made it to your collection!

Miyota 8200 is the movement this is derived from. Miyota 9015 is leaps and bounds above.

Addiesdive has this same model, except it's all stainless steel and has a Seiko mechaquartz movement. It's a bit more expensive but I think it's worth the extra money, because the "dune" dial is better executed and the case and bracelet also have better finishing. It's also smaller, which some people will prefer. It's a more classic size, at 37 mm if I recall correctly.

Too bad its only 37mm. Im not a hobbit and wearing anything smaller than 40 is a joke, a penny on a strap, with my wife is laughing on me. The Benyar is better in size, but the case material is keeping me away from a buy.

I prefer the Addies AD2030, primarily because it's smaller however, the larger BY-5208 may well find an audience with those who feel the 37mm is just too small. I've a couple of Benyars in my collection and have been very satisfied with the performance so far. At this price point (& deals a plenty) the materials choices are understandable so why they try to hide away from them is baffling.

My guess is the movement will be a variation on the older 28,800 DG4813 . An evolution of the DG2813 Miyota clone

What's the thickness of this watch? It looks ugly due to thickness. What your opinion whether to buy or not due to thickness and is it Tiffany color or not?

Did you watch the review? I said it was 14.3mm thick including the domed crystal. And the watch isn't ugly.
