Lazar was actually not an emperor. He was a knez ( something like a prince ). The only two emperors that Serbia ever had were emperor Dusan Silni ( Dusan the Mighty ) and his son Uros.

Problem with Kosovo starts in between the 1960s and 1980s , when a communistic party of Yugoslavia allowed Albanians to settle on Kosovo. Almost 300.000 Albanians from Albania came and settle on Kosovo at the end of the 60s and like 270.000 more until 80s. Communists allowed that because life standard in Albania was lower than in Yugoslavia and they taught they can assimilate them to our system and develop that region. Workers from every Serbian company were "giving" money for Kosovo development when Albanians arrived. But when Albanians become a strong majority on Serbian land, they start independence movements. And for like 30-40 years they took part of our country. Even name KOSOVO is a Serbian word and it means "land of blackbird". Monasteries, monuments, fortresses, almost al history sites are Serbian heritage. Can you imagine that let's say, Mexicans become the majority in Miami, and they start independence movements, pushing people from their homes, start a war, and then proclaim independence? Would your government and people step aside? Or would they fight against it? Nato also needed control over this area, so they put base whit 50.000 soldiers on Kosovo. That also played a big part, because we didn't want foreigners army on our land, and Albanians didn't have problem whit that. Why should they, it is not their land. Police was very close to restore order on Kosovo, but then William Walker wrote a report about Rachak, place where a fight between Serbian police and the liberation army of Kosovo took place, he wrote that police did a massacre on 45 civilians. And that was the start of the bombing of Serbia, and wind in the Albanian backs to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of Serbs. Even the leading forensic scientist from Finland, Helena Renta, said that Wolkers clams that there was massacre are incorrect and that people that she examined died in battle, and civilian clothing were put on them after they died. But it is never about justice and human rights, it is all about interests and power. They will always use some people and movements to reach their goals. That happened on Kosovo. We temporarily lose our part of the country, that is historically very important to us, because of some bigger players interests. I say temporarily because we will go back there one day, that is for sure. Balans of powers in the world is changing slowly, and we are waiting for the right moment. Even by United Nation Resolution 1244, Kosovo is still part of Serbia, and many UN member states didn't recognize it as an independent state because they know it is a brutal breaking of international laws. The bombing of Serbia was also without the approval of the United Nations Security Council, that was also breaking of international laws, where one side (in this case the USA and some NATO members) stood against every international agreement on what modern sovereign countries are built after WWII.

Let me clarify the subject for you. Nothing in history happens without being linked to entire history. It is all about Serbs and our faith, devotion to Truth and Justice. When they were spreading teachings of Jesus, apostles walked throughout Balkan, already in 30s or 40s AD. Kosovo is not just a territory, but a metaphysical place. It is a place where worlds were clashing each other, since time immemorial. Kosovo is a portal, a Stargate if you will. It is where people from Daria, Fayeton and Mars have landed, when conditions for life on these planets became extinct... This place is destined for collision of great powers. Always on two sides- Light and Darkness. Which one wins, it determines the path that entire world will take. Therefore, great powers were always fighting about Kosovo, not just for riches and incredible amount of resources on such a small piece of Earth, but exactly because of this reason. Uncovered evidence of prehistoric civilization on Kosovo, Serbia and entire Balkans counts 12 - 22 000 years so far. Kosovo is not coincidentally flooded with Orthodox Churches, which are built on same spots like ancient Vedic temples prior to that. Nevertheless, knez (title) LAZAR was leading Serbian army in the greatest and the most important collision between two worlds of Christianity and Islam, which effects we are still living to this day, with final outcome soon to come. Battle occurred on 28th of June 1389, as you probably already know, with Serbian victory. Relation was 130 000 Serbian soldiers against 450 000 Turkish. Like Alexander the Great in his wars with Persia against Darius, LAZAR decided to ''hit the Snake upside the head'', by storming with hardly armored cavalry directly at the center where Turkish ruler, the Sultan Murat was. Murat was killed by hero and Knight of the Order of the Dragon, the Miloš Obilić and his 12 comrades. Miloš was captured and killed in this act. Night before the battle, at great supper before all lords, Miloš sworn to LAZAR that he will kill Murat tomorrow, and he kept his Knight's Word. At the same time, Serbian army managed to destroy and scatter Turkish right flank and battle was over in just couple of hours. While retreating, son and heir of fallen Sultan, the Bayazite discovered LAZAR while he was praying in Church called Samodreža, where he killed him. This was glorious but Pyrrhic victory, in vein. Serbs lost many important figures, Serbian lords became divided, and in next 100 years Turks eventually have managed to conquer us and literally enslave us. Muslims were privileged in this new occupying system. Many Serbs fell under pressure and converted to Islam. Those are today's so-called Bosnians and many Albanians too... There is a difference between Albanians and Kosovo Shquiptars. Shquiptars first came to Balkan from Asia and Sicily in 11th century. They were brought on ships by Byzantine general George Maniakes in 1043 as helping army in his conquest to overthrow emperor in Constantinople. He lost the war and Shquiptars remained on Balkan, asking for help and land to settle from Serbian lords. Which they were given by lord Vojislav. Many of them even abandoned Islam and converted to Orthodox faith. They are changing religion often. As soon as Turks came in show, they have returned to Islam and got all the privileges to extort, plunder, rape and slaughter Serbian population. Much like today under the corporative USA and NATO. Nevertheless, Kosovo was finally freed in Balkan Liberation wars from Turks 1912-1913 by general Božidar Janković. Englishmen didn't like that at all and have created long-term policy to push Serbs from Macedonia, Kosovo and the exit on seashores as far as possible. For that purpose, aligned Austro-Hungary and English empire have created several artificial nations in the Balkans, just to stop Serbian spreading and with that Russian spreading, because Russians are our only ally, because we belong to common civilization. Such Frankenstein nations are today: Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Bosnia and ustasha Croatia... In a fact, these are merely occupying units, a provinces of the same-old Roman Empire, existing now on a line Rome (Vatican) - London - Washington. None of these ''nations'' will never be able to function on their own, they either need the sugar daddy- the Empire, or to return to being SERBS again... Darkness or Light... In ww2, CHETNIK general Draža Mihailović was first in the occupied world to say NO! and stand up to Hitler. He has freed many cities. First freed city in Europe was Loznica already in August 1941. His plan was to unite all Serbian lands including Kosovo under one Kingdom, while King was in exile. He was bestowed with many high ranking medals for his achievements in war, ever since already mentioned Balkan Liberation wars from 1912-13, in which he participated in. Charles de Gaulle awarded him with ''Cross of War''. American president Harry S Truman bestowed onto Uncle Draža, as we call him, the highest medal in American army, the Legion of Merit. Why? Because, in operation called ''Halyard'' Draža have rescued and safely sent home from Serbia exactly 513 American pilots who landed over Serbia, in mission of shooting Hitler's remaining posts in Romania. Anyways, Draža's uprising failed because the allies have abandoned him and supported communists under TITO. Again, Darkness prevailing over the Light. As soon as Tito came to power he have organized territory of Yugoslavia according to borders desired by the Empire, with future republics, because break-up of Yugoslavia was imagined since 1st day of its creation. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fXbdgJqmgryhjNU Kosovo was officially created as it is today with the Constitution from 1974. Kosovo Shquiptars were not paying for anything. They got all for free, from Serbian pockets. During entire existence of Yugoslavia, Croatian and Albanian Shquiptar extremists and criminals were working together along with their criminal immigration to create an ''independent'' countries of theirs. For that purpose, they've used criminal money to bribe and create powerful lobby in American Congress. i must mention that Croatian ustasha immigration have killed 1 200 000 Serbian civilians in ww2 in their ''Independent State of Croatia'' under the boots of Hitler. They are still unpunished for that. Kill is such a small word to describe it. That was the most gruesome genocide in history of this planet, even far worse than ones in Cambodia and Indonesia. Jewish holocaust investigator and writer Gideon Greif have documented exactly 57 ways for torturing and butchering of Serbs that Croatians have patented. They even had special knife for slaughtering and called it SRBOSJEK, meaning Serb-Cut... Nevertheless, on G-8 or G-9 whatever... meeting in Malta in 1989, occupying unit of Kosovo was handed to America and late George H. W. Bush, after Mikhail Gorbachev renounced of all Russian interests for Kosovo. So Lazar was the leader of Serbs at the epic battle of Kosovo in 1389. This is one of the rare (perhaps only) battle where both supreme leaders got killed (Murat of Ottoman empire and Lazar of Serbia) in battle. Famous is Lazars curse on the occasion "He who is Serbian and does not come to Kosovo....". The whole song is basically rallying up Serbs that Kosovo isn't lost. This is necessary as an artistic expression given the political will to "make deals". In 1999 NATO spearheaded by the US basically ripped Kosovo and Metohija away from Serbia and created Kosovo as an quasi independent nation. Serbs feel very strong about it, like Palestinians about Jerusalem, and it truly is the cradle of the Serbian state. Kosovo Albanians are majority Sunni Muslim and many early Christian Serbian churches have been burnt in a show of overall non tolerance for Orthodoxy. Shown were burnt Churches and desecrated graves. So the conflict was basically between Serbia and NATO. NATO backed Albanians in their separatist motives, there was relatively little real actual war between Serbia and Kosovo Albanians. The KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) was a designated international terrorist group and their tactics were in line with that (roadside bombs, abductions, executions and similar ISIS like tactics).

First of all, tanks for this reaction. This song is about what this land mean to us Serbians. It is part of our souls. First churches, first monasteries of christian orthodox were built there. Begining of our nation was in that area in about 5th century. War for Kosovo was started in 1389th year, when Otoman Empire invade us. Lazar was our Tsar in that battle and Milos our glory knight. Basically war for Kosovo never ended to this day. After ´99 Albanians nation without history, try to claim that land as theirs and forcing out Serbs who lived there for 1500 years.  Learn to pronounce Brother James Lazar Hrebeljanovic is a Serbian prince and ruler who led our nation into one of the biggest battles that took place in the Balkans ever against the Turks (the battle in Kosovo) in 1389, and today it is debatable which side won there because the losses were on both sides were terrible and neither side retreated. All in all, he was the ruler who, after Emperor Dusan, did the most for Serbia and our people, so the title of emperor was posthumously.
