It's really no wonder that B&O products occupy a permanent display in New York's MoMA. From the get-go, they have consistently combined superior sound quality with a correspondent look of understated elegance. This BeoSound Shape is the apotheosis of the company and her designers' most precious aspirations for such a complete and integrated work of crisp audio emanating from a perfect and perfunctory _objets d'art géométrique_. Personally, I'm perfectly content NOT owning an automobile, but having Bang & Olufsen set the visual and acoustic tenor in my home. I would not be content in the reciprocal of this arrangement.

Hi there! Thanks for your question. The cables that connect the heart of the unit, a Beosound Core, with the speakers are hidden under the fabric tiles. Dear Kristian, The BeoSound Shape is designed with a special Star rails that allows the different tiles to connect to each other with room to route the cables in between. Once the cables are routed through the covers & gap absorbers are installed completely hiding the cables. The only part installed in the wall is the power outlet. The BeoSound Shape does require a Bang & Olufsen certified technician to install, but does not run wires through the walls.

It's an innovative alternative to the standard in-wall, or studio speaker setup. With their geometric design, and ability to be mounted directly onto the wall, or ceiling without having to worry about hiding them like most units is what makes these, and most everything from B&O so appealing. Duh!
