Sir, IMO your presentation on the main features, takedown and reassembly of this amazing little rifle was superb. Thank you. Also just my own, who cares opinion, but I believe the Beretta Cx4 Storm Carbine to be one of the best, yet most underrated defensive rifles on the market. I had wanted one ever since I learned of their existence and presence on the market way back circa 2003/4 for me. (The AR and AK Community has absolutely nothing to worry about- Beretta just doesn’t make a lot of them - compared with the (Million +?) AR platform rifles manufactured worldwide every year.) Plus obviously it’s a pistol caliber carbine and not a direct comparison anyway. Long story short(er), after decade+ of trying to find a new manufacture unit, and with Beretta actually shutting down the production line for years with no reliable information if they would ever be made again, circa late 2020/1 my local shop notified me that they were back in production and that their distributors had stock. After waiting almost 20 years, FINALLY obtained this rifle. Even being very familiar with the AR disassembly, cleaning, reassembly (Because there are commonalities with both that platform and the Beretta), and reading the manufacturer’s manual, your video did a great job simplifying the basics of the Carbine. Hope you enjoy owning and shooting yours as much as I do mine. Thanks again.

@@CraigsGunChannel : You are most welcome. I would add one edit to what I previously wrote: Taking the rifle apart- Easy. No problem. Reassembly- watch out for pitfalls. I just cleaned and disassembled/reassembled mine for the first time this afternoon. That enormous BCG- or more specifically the tiny spring and parts on each side at the back end of the BCG - can make reassembly a BEAR. These small parts can fall out or off without notice, and of course you must pull out the entire BCG and start over. Definitely a bit of a learning curve.

I've been thinking about getting one of these because of the known reliability (not the looks). Your explanation of the take down of the upper and lower was excellent. Thank you.

Checking for rounds by working the bolt before take down is crucial, because if you try it with the PLASTIC hammer in the 'fired' position (up) it will absolutely break off the plastic buffer on the end of the bolt spring rod, thereby rendering the weapon into a useless decorative item.

It has an interesting feature. If a closed bolt firing streight blowback bolt gun is dropped on the stock when the barrel is up, the bolts inertia makes it go back, and chamber the next round or eject the previous one and chamber the next. Its even worse for open bolt blowback guns, the bolt can go back just far enough for chambering, but not far enough to catch the sear, bolt goes forward and fires immediately. This gun prevents the bolt from going back on its inertia if the stock hits the ground. It has a spring loaded hook under the barrel. The springs push the hook forward. If the gun hits the ground, both bolt and the hook want to keep going back. The hook hits a sloped surface that makes the back side of the hook to go up and into the round hole on the bottom side of the bolt. The hook travel is limited, so it stops the bolt from opening for extraction. p.s. i mean i dont know if it works exactly like that, thats what makes sense to me, judging from the manual and an imperfect 3d model.

I just bought a New CX4 Feb. 2023. I read the manual and it states the charging handle requires force to take it out. I had to use a screwdriver to wedge it out!!!! The handle has to be rotated to be put back in. Not easy like your carbine. They must have changed something.
