For your info: "moschetto" (in modern military Italian it's a rifle that has the barrel shorter than the stock, definition that it's not popularly really known in Italy outside military circles) is pronounced "mos-ketto". In Italian, with no letter K, the K sound is given by the diphthong "CH" (differently than in Spanish). Also in "polizia" (police) the accent is on the very last letter "I". Since we are on the subject of Italian pronunciation, "Carcano" is accented on the first "A" not on the second one (as everybody seems to believe in the USA). You'll thank me later, Ian 😁.

It looks like the rear T-slot and front T-lug are compatible. I wonder, how many guys stuck two of those bayonets together back to back to make a super-cool melee weapon?

Better than a system that lets you stick two rifles muzzle to muzzle for a really heavy kayak paddle.

@UlisseDizante3 сағат бұрын
Note that PAI had a base/school in Rome. As MABs were issued quite late, the war was already on and the "Africa Italiana" (Ethiopia and Somalia) out of reach, very few M38A actually left Italy for their intended destination. A large batch of "Police" MABs were captured by Germans in that school, in 1943.
