BERGAMO ITALY LAYOVER - 24 Hours in Bergamo!

I spent in total about 24 hours in Bergamo Italy on two separate layovers and I absolutely loved my time in the city. If you want to find a cute small city for a two-day trip to Italy or you are going to be passing through Bergamo because of the Bergamo-Milan airport nearby, I highly recommend checking it out for a few hours at least!

Nice video! I moved from Bergamo 30 years ago (to Sweden) but I am still trying to visit the town at least once a year. If you go there again I can recommend to also take the second funicular FROM Città Alta to San Vigilio. That part of town has a more rural feel to it, and kind of reminds one of Tuscany 🙂

I am Italian and Bergamo is my city. You forgot to go to the top of Città Alta (San Virgilio castel). These is a second funicular, with an amazing view.

I don’t speak Italian, I know a few phrases for ordering, but in Bergamo I found most people spoke a bit of English, especially at hotels 👍
