Haha, I can't believe that you had the very same experience as I did with Gaahl. I went to Bergen in 2019, I wanted to see the iconic places, and when we got out of the bus from the Airport he was there, just standing (I think he was in the same bus but I didn't see him). I reached out to him and ask for a photo, and he invited us to his gallery. He gave me a card, and the next day we went (That day he had a wine tasting event, I believe). When we were there, I realized he his not what people might think of him. He is super chill, smiling, and a great host. He offered us coffee as well, and I couldn't believe that Satan himself offered me a cup of coffee. To this day, that is one of the most bizarre moments of my life. I traveled more than 9000 km to visit the emblematic Black Metal places and randomly found Gaahl in the streets. Also, I see you are like 2 meters tall. I'm 1.85 mts, and Gaahl is slightly taller than me, and in your video, you make him seem short haha.

The church is the church, Christianity is Christianity, and war is war. I will not argue or justify someone else's point of view ... but I live in a country where Orthodoxy allows itself much more than allowed by their God. In Norway this did not happen because they were shown their place in due time and rightly so. Well, meeting Gaal on the street is as if a Christian met one of the 12 prophets. An event of "biblical" proportions). I have a lot of respect for Gaal, my favorite Gorgoroth period when Gaal was the frontman. Well, his new project is something ... Ghosts Invited is a great song. His paintings are strange and with a clear homosexual overtones, but I respect any work, and I have no right to condemn anyone's work if I do not understand it. I am very happy for you, my friend, there will be something to remember) and once again thanks for the trip to the Homeland of Black Metal.

I agree. Some of those stave churches look remarkably pagan & viking, really beautiful, but they are also a symbol of a cultural takeover which is an act of vandalism in itself, being built upon the sacred spots of a people slowly subsumed. @@SarahAParis It was an extreme act. It's useful to understand why he would do such a thing. I had absolutely no idea that Gaahl was a part/member of Wardruna. My mind was blown 🤯!!! I fu(king love Wardruna. I was exposed to the group whilst watching my favorite show ever...Vikings. Helvegen was the first song to really make me feel a certain way. A great way. I have always been intrigued by the Vikings. Since I was a child. I actually had a project whilst in 5th grade. One in which I had to imagine myself, specifically in Norway, as a female farmer and mother. Strange for a female 5th grader to imagine herself as a mother. LoL...simply because I was not yet a woman. If you catch my drift. School provided us some books for very basic information. Needless, to say I was lucky enough to have access to some National Geographic magazine's. Which my father received due to subscription. Amongst other things. What I read absolutely fascinated me. I was raised Catholic. So at first I was torn. But the more I read and the deeper I dug into these "Pagans" LoL. The more I respected them. It was one of the first times that I read about actual female warriors, Shield Maidens. They were women who were wives, mothers, seamstresses, farmers and fighters. I had never learned about that before, that a woman could be a warrior like a man at that time in history. I absolutely fell in love with their idea of living. Cut to 2013 Michael Hirst wrote and created Vikings. Giving us a great show on The History Channel. However, also exposing the mainstream to Wardruna. I honestly listen to Wardruna whenever I work out or have to do something physical. For instance I just had to move a quarter of a cord of wood. Listened to Wardruna the whole time. Funny enough, two of my neighbors were curious about whom I was listening to...they liked it!!! Mind you it took me a cpl hours to move so they were forced to listen. That's my Novel. Thank you so much for your videos. The End.

That church was put right next to a Pagan burial mound and that burial mound was desecrated by them sticking their symbol through it. Imagine an army invading another country, building barracks right next to the invaded country’s military cemetery, and then sticking ITS OWN FLAG right in the heart of the cemetery on top of the invaded army’s dead. For all intents and purposes, that cross is a symbol of the Christians’ victory over the Pagans, and a victory for the spreading of Christianity, even to the point of FORCEFULLY trying to convert the dead and OPENLY mocking the invaded country’s heritage. THAT’s what this is, and THAT’s why they chose that church specifically. In Paganism, reincarnation is everything. Your ancestors reincarnate through you. An essential step is to visit the burial mound where the ancestor is buried, on Halloween (but of course, Halloween was turned into a costume party where you dress up as a monster or a president, oh I’m repeating myself). There’s more but I’ll just stick to the original point. You can learn more about this in Varg’s books, if you wish. And the 5 million Euros thing should open your eyes as to how much money, power, influence and WILL to keep their poison alive these organizations have. This is not just history to them, this is FUTURE-PROOFING.
