After downloading the entire 7 hours I must say it is breathtaking. I didn't think you could top the Swiss Alps for scenery but I think this might do it. You run out of superlatives. The trees changing color, the water running along the route. The smoothness of the train. The awesome mountains. The quiet of the ride. Spectacular. I must take this before I die.

I am looking for a low-res version of the full video. Is there anything available to download that's under one gigabyte in size? I would be happy with 360p resolution or a slight decrease in frame rate. I also don't need any audio, which would reduce the file size further. Please send me a private message if you can assist me. I'm trying to make a relaxing screensaver out of this and you can help make it happen! Anything bigger than 1 GB is really too large to be practical for this project.

I've been on this train as part of the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour, it's amazingly pretty. I fell in love with Norway, even though I lost my iPhone just before getting on the train.

I'm guessing here, but from (a) the amount of snow at high altitude (b) the height of the snow line - about 400m? - (c) the vegetation at lower altitudes and (d) the height and strength of the sun, the film appears to have been shot in April (no earlier than late March and no later than mid-May). Perhaps the uploader can give a definitive answer?

The landscape shown in this video is a part of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. I'ts in the counties of Telemark, Buskerud & Hordaland in Norway.

If you buy the ticket early you could get a one way ticket from Bergen to Oslo from about 35 to 40 €, regular price is about 95 €.

One of the most beautiful train rides in the world. The Oslo to Bergen Norway route is a must for rail fans and lovers of beautiful scenery. I hope some day to take this trip. This fantastic video is the next best thing. Thanks for sharing the stunning scenery. All I can say is let's see more of Norway.

Thank you for your most-educated guess - which seems very likely! I couldn't find any info anywhere the documentary was promoted (which seemed strange). I would have assumed some marketing person from Norway's tourism department would have made sure the filming date was published, to make sure the varied weather wouldn't scare off summer tourists...and still attract would-be Spring/Syttende Mai tourists. Shh, don't tell, but I was on a glacier north of Oslo in June one year! Thanks again!

Super-cool idea ! - and, really impressive images ! - ... also recalling memories from a bicycle-tour of mine - before MTB´s were invented ... - a bicycle tour which was extremely rich on experiences - along the railroad workers trail just besides the Bergen-railroad from Ustaoset to Flåm , when I was somewhat younger and with a greater appetite on physical endeavours under extremely bad weather conditions ... :-)

@sostav I think you're right. When I was trying to measure the speed in the Gråskallen tunnel, I noticed the train was going quite above that speed. Then I researched a bit about that tunnel's length and found out that it's 2300m actually, instead of 2710m. So the resultant speed measured there was 123 km/h. :-)

Специально почитал по теме для этой железнодорожной линии, протяжённость 371км, время в пути около 7 часов, 20 остановок, на этой линии используется скоростной поезд тип NSB 73, максимальная скорость в 210 км/ч разрешена только на ж/д линии Gardermobanen. На остальных линиях скорость ограничена 160 км/ч, т.е. максимум 160км/час на линии Bergensbanen.
