I remember waking up the morning after my wife just told me she loved somebody else, this song was playing and it about summed up the gut wrenching feeling I had, my stomach was in permanent knots and I just wanted to vanish with no pain in to that moment, just cease to be. I remember hearing once that when a woman tells you she is leaving you that she had one foot out the door for sometime before she told you and it was your responsibility to the relationship to see this and correct what you were not giving to the relationship, I was fortunate to be able to correct it after the fact and get it all back in track and 12 years later we are happy and have a beautiful son but every time I hear this song I am instantly visited by a pain that is unbearable and I try and swallow it so it doesn’t ruin my day.
