Berkley Frittside vs. Rapala OG Slim

In this video I am going over the differences in the Berkley Frittside 5 crankbait and the rapala og slim balsa crankbait. These are similar baits in price point ($10) but have some differences when you compare them up close. Overall, both are great baits and catch fish in the tough winter conditions, but be sure to watch all the way through to find out the differences!

nice lures the fusion hooks are nice.alot of lures are coming with premium hooks now but they tack on 2 bucks more .

I wouldn't consider the rapala og slim a sqaurebill, it's a round bill crankbait.

Yea that's what I mention in the video, more of a circular shape, and its a circuit board bill

The circuit board bill is tough yes, it has a little different action than the plastic too. They “cut” water a little sharper causing a tighter action or wobble in the bait.

Good video and well presented. Had you done 1/3 of this on the water to show perhaps tune'ability and cast'ability would have made this an A+ video.

Not a dig, but I see so many bass fishermen talk about changing hooks out of the box or when on the water. Why not just learn to sharpen them? With the right file or sharpener, you can get about any hook sharper than any factory hook.

yes that’s a good point, I personally have a whetrock my grandad gave me and he taught me how to sharpen hooks. I don’t mention it because like you say the majority of people just say buy hooks or get new hooks. I do both, I try and keep a good stock of top notch hooks and will sharpen hooks as they dull

Great video man. I saw your grand dad on the lake a couple weeks ago. I told him to tell you to holler at me.
