When I was in Berlin during a school trip we also went to the city's night club (Matrix) and BOY did it suck. Even when they played good music it was agonizingly loud and the entire place was overcrowded! Never would I have thought that that forsaken place would actually inspire something good.

Again I don't care. Cities like that are too big, too loud and too cumbersome too get around. As someone who enjoys the quiet of his quaint little home town, getting dragged off to such a place, which is only interesting to me for its history, is already enough to ruin the experience before it even starts. Doesn't help when most people you know didn't like it there either. And it wasn't just the club. We were there for a week and the only thing I really liked was the Espionage-Museum. (And hearing the AFD getting told off when we were in the Senate. That was funny). Also when I said "the" night club I didn't mean that it was literally the only one. As far as I kow it is just the most popular one and the only one I've been at so I didn't see a reason to consider any others.

As in your first messages you state that night club as the only reason for your disliking it seems rather stubborn and illogical, though those reasons make it way more understandable for you to dislike Berlin, or well in that case probably all big cities around the world. Yeah I thought exactly like you some years ago, as I grew up on the countryside and never knew much about city-life. I'm unsure of what changed but I now see the beauty in both cities and the countryside. Actually I gotta say, my favourite is a mix of both. :D Living in a small village on the outskirts of a city, but being able to be in the city rather quickly. Therefore also having access to all kinds of stores, activities, clubs, etc., but still having the calmness, safety and togetherness of a village community.
