The timing chip is weird...on a shoe!! What if you just put it on your pocket, would it be ok?

I would not want anything covering it so I do not recommend the pocket. There are places on the plastic of the chip to thread your shoe laces through so it is secure in that location and nothing is blocking. It's a little odd at first but you won't notice it after a while.

Regarding the expo. I was there today (saturday) around 4 pm. Basically no queues and plenty of Adidas merch still available. Would recommend.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I'm primarily coaching people who are making an 8 hour flight with a 6 hour time difference so I would not recommend arriving to the expo at the last minute given those parameters. But it certainly is not a universal. Certainly some people running Berlin live a few kms from the race. Different situation entirely!

Switch to kilometers when you start training for european marathon. I had to go the other way. Before running NY, I switched to miles, all my training was in miles. easier to run this way

@@Yaegosh I have zero reason to do that. Every 5 years I run a race in kms and I’ve been running for over a decade already. It works just fine without. But certainly you can pick your own method.

@@Yaegosh btw NYCM has every 5k marked and that’s where the timing mats are. You don’t need to run in miles for NYCM. That’s my hometown race, I know it well. 😀
