Australian living in Germany here: I think at Hauptbahnhof you missed seeing the walls from the U-Bahn platform, the walls have really cool depictions of all the former and current terminal stations built in Berlin which I always loved. Alexanderplatz is cool because there are empty platforms with track laid and display screens turned on permanently showing "no trains departing here" right alongside the U5 island platforms, these empty platforms are meant to be used for a future U10 NE-SW line that isn't in the current round of planning (there are also unfunished stations built for this future line at Innsbrucker Platz and its why Schloßstraße has platforms over two levels as this was meant to be a cross-platform interchange station with U10).

You have showed some of Berlins nicer underground stops but I've always found most stations in Berlin rather samey when compared to the newer U Bahns in Munich, Nuremberg, Frankfurt, Cologne, Essen, Dortmund and Hannover. Schloss Broich in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr is also quite a pretty station.
