I appreciate your video. It's really well done and looks very professional. The only part I strongly disagree with is your condemnation of the Alexanderplatz. The Alexanderplatz is a vibrant, fun, and exciting place to be. In the summer there's a wonderful outdoor festival featuring food, crafts, and outdoor theater. A good tourist tip is to buy things for breakfast (fresh bread, coffee, pastry, etc.) from one of the many stores in the Alexanderplatz (the Galeria Kaufhof has an amazing food court) and enjoy your morning meal outside at one of the tables set up at the festival. Also the Alexanderplatz is centrally located. It's handy to the subways (the U-Bahns) the above ground trains ( S-Bahns), as well as several bus and street car lines. I don't know how long it's been since you've visited the Alexanderplatz, but tell you what, as soon as I get back to Berlin, I'll make a video about how FUN the Alexanderplatz is and post it. All the best for a wonderful 2021! Thanks. Backward MEN

Great Video but as a born Berliner I really miss DÖNER recommandations in this video and also at least some nice areas in west Berlin such as Schöneberg...
@pt69434 жыл бұрын
Alexanderplatz shouldn't be skipped. It still has some DDR feel to it (not much has changed in terms of architectural landscape). You will find a few typical Berlin's bars and fast food joints there, where eg. kebab / falafel ("best ever" according to my wife) and curry wurst are being served, meet regular Berliners whose commuting patterns happen to cross there, but also locals - both young and older, with too much free time and too little money in their pockets - who bring some alternative folklore to this place. The area is usually crowded, but roomy and you will not bump into one another. There is also plenty of little spots to sit and rest.
@alexh78915 жыл бұрын
Nice video and some very good advice, however: 1.) Why doesn't the most abundant speciality coffee scene in Europe with it's 90+ speciality coffee shops deserve a mention? 2.) No (or very little) mention of west Berlin. Ever been to Charlottenburg and Wilmersdorf? Those places are, just like the east, extremely diverse and beautiful and feature some World class architecture. 3.) No mention of Neukölln. 4.) No mention of at least a few of the 2500+ parks that are a huge part of Berlin. Tiergarten, Tempelhof?
@nomadnik89955 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. As you might be aware (or not), those kind of videos take a ton of time and effort to do and you have to try to squeeze in as much information as possible within a 15 min timespan, to not lose the viewers attention. Therefore it is impossible to always cover everything and please everyone.

Been to Berlin 3 times and not thinking about stopping, Alexanderplatz is a place i always go and have a great time cause it has it's unique beauty and all the shops someone wants to visit while in Berlin. never been on the top of the tv tower because of the lines but i don't agree people should skip Alexanderplatz. Potsdamerplatz is awesome at night. Also it's very entertaining to go from the Brandenburger tor to Alexanderplatz with lime or tier.
