what i love about pollini is that he always sings along with what he's playing. i first noticed it when i first listened to his beethoven piano concertos, also with the bpo and abbado. i noticed it again when listening to the whole performance of this piece...

No offence to maestro Beethoven, but compared to 9th symphony this work is relatively simple in structure. Over-conducting is actually not appropriate. The two climaxes are not the chords of the key (C major). Isn't it an innovative design?
