Ikr, I hated the dark and creepy lighting; and the fake rock surface of the volcano gave me the creeps too, seemed so realistic like I was in an actual volcano. Don't get me started on those fuckin alien animatronics....

Yeah, I remember seeing the massive face that you go through at the start but that is all I distinctly remember because I was crying the whole way after that lol (I had to have been like 4/5 or something)

Was wondering why I didn't remember half of this until I remembered I had my eyes closed for most of the ride as a kid. First and only time I went on it.

Yep, exactly the same. I thought the aliens were robots, which were my number one phobia as a kid! I outlasted the ride, but it's a pity as it was pretty creative and we don't have anything like it here anymore.

Not exactly. They changed it when they renamed it to area 51 a few years before. But this was nearly identical to the predecessor of area 51 also called Bermuda triangle

@@emilsinclair4190 Yes, the theme inside is still the same. That was the point. The attraction has been given completely new technology, including a new pump system, and all the effects have been brought up to date

True! I still have the picture of my parents & I on the ride.(screaming n all lol) fun times… That was definitely my fav ride in sea world..

years ago, me and my siblings used to go to Sea World every weekend. Many of the days, the park was super quiet, so we were able to go on the Bermuda Triangle numerous times in a row. Some of the ride operators knew us by name, and we were able to repeat the audio script verbatim. Sometimes, the audio wouldn't play at all for whatever reason, so we would just say the script ourselves as we rode through :') I was super sad when the ride shut down.

This was my favorite attraction at Sea word when I was a kid, I absolutely loved it. The ride had so much detail and effort put into it, everything from the in queue videos that played to alien animatronics. It's a shame they decided to remove the ride in its place build a horribly themed water/roller coaster. Sea world has definitely seen better days...

when this video was uploaded, I wasn't even alive! when I went to sea world in Jan 2019 they didn't have the Bermuda triangle there, Seaworld had the Viking flume ride but it was closed and there was no water it was all drained. I watched h2o just add water and if you had watched it which you probably have, it was filmed in SeaWorld and many scenes had the rides featured in them. I got a bit mad and upset they removed these rides including the corkscrew rollercoaster that I wish I went on but I was only about 5 when they closed it down. honestly, I wish they didn't remove them because the ones they have now are kinda sh*t, well they have a new Atlantis-themed section of the park but still I rather the old rides. oh and not to mention they had a sky view cable cart which I'm am so upset they removed before I went to the park. to sum everything up I have said, I am pissed off ahaha.

Yes, the Bermuda Triangle certainly had to be experienced to be believed and appreciated. And now there's another rollercoaster for Sea World? Boring! At the end of the day, a rollercoaster is a rollercoaster. It's just the size and direction that changes, but the Bermuda triangle had everything, from the atmosphere, to the sounds, the smells and the suspense. I even remember feeling the heat from the flames of the volcano before reaching the top of it and splashing down the side of volcano at the end. It was awesome!! Shame it's gone.

Oh they used to have real fire that came out and it would be hot when you reached the top. That was cool. Then they replaced it with that silly light instead. Every five minutes or so you’d see the burst of fire come out of the volcano. It was cool to actually be up close to it. Don’t know why they turned that off. This was a great ride. Such a shame they pulled it down.

I remember the fire too! I'm from NZ and went to Aussie for the first time back in '99 (at 9 years old this ride was INTENSE)m and I also remember there being a lady on a screen talking to the passengers, and then her face shapeshifts into an alien - now THAT was scary AF.

That was such a great part of it. The gas line got accidentally cut when they were building another attraction and they didn't replace it.. instead they put neon lights. Not the same.

Surprised to see other people say this also scared them as a kid and don’t remember it. Me too. Because more than half the ride I had my head buried in my lap with my hands over my ears 😂 I wish I was older to enjoy this ride cause I do remember some of it and it was awesome.

Best Australian dark ride. Was lucky enough to have a yearly pass in 2005 when I was 15, this ride was far past it’s prime even then but still a great experience and with no ride queue you could get off and straight back on again.

I remember riding this ride when I was 11. Oh it scared me, very creepy. To make it worse i remember watching the discovery channel back at the apartment in broad beach and there was a documentary about alien abductions. No wonder why i was traumatized the next few nights eeeck, still a amazing ride. What a shame it's gone. This ride and the gremlins ride at movie world were the scariest rides I've been on.

It was definitely a huge loss. Seaworkd was never the same. Yes the concept was dated. Which they could have simply re themed. even walking around the park in general that booming sound every few minutes. My POV of course but after it was removed I went to the park less and less.

Never got to ride this, but it looks creepy, awesome and is themed amazingly! I have no clue what the fuck was going on but it looks great XD. (Can people stop trashing Storm too because obviously it’s not as good as this but give it a break)
