Hi,I think that you are right, 73s

a 1/9 unun generally works well with a wire of 15 m to 40 m but you need at least 15 to 20 m of coaxial to have a counterpose and the VSWR is generally 1.5 without tuning so I don't understand why it doesn't work however the video is qualitative 73 👍

That doesn't sound really good. At these short distances there should be a lot of noise from loud signals. But you also speak extremely quietly and the signal is simply lost. I assume that a maximum of 10 watts is controlled out of the 40 possible watts, plus the balun losses.

To me the fact that all these Europeans hams use English as their com language is interesting.

Hi,good point 👍,I am worried that the battery will be flat and the car won't start 🤔,but next time I'll have a 100 meter/300 foot wire aerial with me to compensate for the power output,,,thanks from Rotterdam 👍👍

@@Bernard-John Listen, the comment you're responding to was what is called a 'piss-take' in England. He's provoking and messing with you. The words he's choosing to use, such as "swing" and "tuned up" are examples of butchering jobs done in the States at roadside truck stops so that you can splatter more on 11 meters. There is a culture which I'm afraid you're not aware of, of tampering with radios in a misguided attempt to make them sound "louder". It's all really ridiculous and fallacy. But you have answered this person's comment as if it was a legitimate comment and you seem like an educated and responsible operator so I felt that I should give you a better understanding of these trolls that come from 11 meters. I'm sure you've heard them on 27mhz, especially from Italy, running wide signals and overmodulating, stepping on people, using profanity, etc. Nothing to do with what amateur radio should be. For this operation, have a backup battery for your car, start the engine when transmitting and run the full 100 watts or else there really is no point of going portable.
