I was able to see Mr. Siepi as both Don Giovanni and Figaro back in the 70s. He was magnificent with a powerful, very beautiful voice and magnetic stage presence that wasn't lost over the years. May he continue to sing with the angels.

The late Cesare Siepi is my favourite baritone. He sings effortlessly, controls the vocal line very well, and is technically superb. RIP my Hero.

Siepi è il più grande cantante di tutta la storia della lirica, superiore persino alla Callas, purtroppo penalizzato dalla vocalità di basso, la più impopolare delle voci, ma questo non toglie che tecnicamente nessuno si possa neppure lontanamente paragonare a lui.
