First release from this now well-known Berlin School synthesist,. Influenced by Klaus Schulze at the beginning of his carreer, soon found his own voice, Bernd released some 29 albums. Music from Outer Space has been reissued on CD in 1999. Thanks for sharing that one SOTD.

Hard to believe this was recorded in 1985. I was expecting something more digital sounding, more in tune with what Tangerine Dream were doing around this time like Le Parc and Underwater Sunlight. Instead, I get treated with Berlin School style in the Schulze vein from circa 1975-77 era (and a bit of classic TD as well), and if I didn't know any better, I would have thought of this as an authentic mid to late '70s recording. To think this was recorded at a time when synth pop and hair metal dominated the airwaves (at least here in America where I live), I am totally blown away!

People didnt all ditch their old studios in the 80’s all of a sudden 😅

I was just on Spotify listening to the album alpha centauri by tangerine dream, and looking up Wikipedia on the star system while listening and it just ended and go on youtube and this is the first thing I see, streaming live, to a channel I'm already subscribed to, so it's not algorithm, it's synchronicity, never fails to amaze me

We were lucky to have several weekly radio shows in the metro NY C area that would feature German and other European artists of the 'Berlin School'. Programs like Synthetic Pleasure, Hearts of Space, and a few late nite DJs such as Allsion Steele would expand our minds and horizons by introducing these musicians to us. However back then they werent in the 'Berlin school' , THEY CREATED IT !!. It was artists like Bernd, David Parsons, Klaus and TD, Brooks, Rother, Jarre, Halpern, Roach, Braheny, Lundsten, Emerald Web, i mean the list goes on and on from the late 70s to early 80s.

I'm just not one of those people who uses the vastly overused word "epic" at every little bloody thing, but how many other words can suitably describe this amazing journey? Maybe several others, but this is what comes to my tired brain through present laziness.

Amazing stuff from the eighties Berlin School Adept that became a master finally! Klaus just started it...the godfather. Many were getting influenced, some really nailed it. He was a great talent! Happy to find it here as a fan of BS!🎉😂🫂😊
