We don’t have a “left” party. We have 2 far right wing parties. We need a left party that’s pro-worker, pro-99% and pro-peace, for breaking up big banks, higher taxes on wealthy, lower taxes on everyone else. Ignore the rhetoric of the Democrats and watch what they DO. Democrats are NOT left. I’m a lefty and NOT a liberal. I enjoy your podcast & subscribed.

How are either of the major parties "far right"? Far right is like Falangism or fascism in terms of authoritarianism or ancap/minarchism on the libertarian side. You seem to think that anyone who isn't in favor of the left wing policies you advocate for is "far right", but it's not like there's you and then everything else is far right. There's a whole range of beliefs between those two things. This perspective comes off as pretty narrow minded.

@@JL-ul8dm Just off the top of my head, D&R are pro-war, pro-jennycide, for giving tax cuts to rich & corporations, pro-censorship, support the unconstitutional Patriot Act which allows the govt to spy on Americans, Dems openly rig primaries & this year denied voters a primary & appointed a candidate as nominee.

Tens of mllions of people earn less than the cost of living. That's what the minimum wage needs to be raised to, not just the bottom 1%. Increasing purchasing power will allow businesses to flourish. Half the nation is either in poverty or is financially unstable. I'm personally for a dynamic minimum wage since the cost of living varies from region to region, not that any of these issues will ever be addressed as long as we have a corporatist oligarchy, forcing us to be resigned to focus on our own personal happiness, the only thing we actually have the influence to affect.

Too bad Bernie did nothing about it for a whole EIGHT years until just now. I dunno about everyone else, but for me, the things he voted for I'm most upset about were the CARES act, the Ukraine war and Israel aid. Gave five trillion dollars to Amazon, Sillicon Valley and Wall Street and fueled two wars that don't help anyone.
