Yes Bernie is the best & yes I'd consider him a legend too. He would've received the Presidential nomination in 2016 but the DNC rigged the nomination process. The DNC was bought & paid for by the person who lost to Trump in 2016. As Bernie speaks he mentions the national debt being around 13-14 trillion & here we are in December of 2022 and now have a national debt of over 31 trillion dollars. Senator Sanders is the real deal & hopefully he'll run in 2024 because the U.S. has desperately needed him as President for many many years!!!

I mean, we already have great figures like AOC and Ilhan Omar. Unlike many leftist movements in the US that sort of relied on certain people, like the Socialist Party back in the early 1900s kind of relying on Eugene Debs' popularity, the current progressive movement is seeing a push by several people, not just by Bernie Sanders. He may be gone, but several new figures are for sure rising. Keep your hopes up

I'm athiest, but you'll find most non church going catholics are agreeable and fairly progressive, because they focus more on the teaching of jesus, and ignore the bad parts. I see this in my own family (roman catholic). The institution of the church are the most right wing part which poisons the image people have. Now, I don't think that it makes sense that people who claim to be religious ignore religious scripture and doctrine, but it's a fact nonetheless.

I was super disappointed in him when he dropped out of the 2020 primaries after it seemed for sure like he was going to win after getting New Hampshire, Michigan and Nevada in the primaries. When I see this again and I’m reminded of this, I feel bad for doubting him. What did they have to do to make a trooper like this man drop out? When he was winning! Were his children or wife threatened? I have to wonder. It’s clear the DNC plays dirty though… I will never vote Democrat again after what they did to this man. I had such high hopes for him in 2020…

Samantha Gaigs, The filibusterer is not speaking to get his legislation passed. It is his/her's opponent's legislation which is under vote. He is only talking for as long as he/she can to delay the vote, sabotage the vote (in the case of a Senate recess) or to increase the vote requirement to pass the legislation (from 51 to 60). Braydon Gines, Changes in 2013 and 2017 now require only a simple majority (51) to invoke cloture on nominations, although legislation still requires 60 votes.
