Joel has the *full-bodied* tone to match his big *Frahm*. He's better than ever. Great!

the fact that Ari catches the Indiana Jones quote shows how deep he's listening. Could have been quite easy to miss

I first heard him playing solo without accompagnment and I eas blown away. His use of intervals in his playing is fantastic.

he has sooooo many quotes in most of his solos. the best part of the Indiana Jones quote here is when the drummer heard the beginning and then put the accents on the ascending line at the end! Good communication like that really makes music sound more organic.

I like Joel so much... is sense of humour combines so well with his deep sound. Fastastic! I gotta tanhk KZbin, once more, to let me know about jazz musicians that I would otherwise fail to know! Thanks for upping!

Jazz is back! At last! Every note counts; every phrase has meaning. I can enjoy again the music I used to listen to obsessively 50 years ago. The camera angle is very artistic, but I'm worried that at any moment, Joel Frahm will fall over.

Great playing by these 4 guys ! Bravo ! Joel has fun inflecting other tunes in his solo .

Hay que escucharle sin resistencias. Dejarse llevar. Nunca es obvio. Indaga. Y permite que sus compañeros muestren su talla. Como siempre: Ari Hoenig, insuperable.

He ends with the intro to the last train to overbrook, that james moody shit, after using the head in his last chorus of course. On the next level of saxophone playing for sure. He has very free flowing ideas with the sound and conviction of Gordon. This video should have more views.

The Overbrook lick- I don’t think moody was the first one to play it.. Earl Hines maybe? Everybody plays it but who was first???
