1. Read Kaplan fluids chapter; do not understand 2. Read ExamCrackers; do not understand 3. Pray to God for answers; still do not understand 4. Watch KA videos; laugh at Sal's humor, but still do not understand 5. Watch this 12 minute video; get a PhD in fluid mechanics

Thank you Dr. Dave! I hope that you are recovering well from your brain tumor. You are a savior to all pre-med students. The fact that you are so clear in your explanations, and that you upload these videos for free, is absolutely amazing and I am forever grateful.

Doctor Dave, I am taking my MCAT in 2 days and your videos have helped so much! I hope you know that even 7 years later, your wonderful explanations are still helping future doctors, and I am sure you are doing so much good out in the world as a doctor yourself. From the bottom of my heart, thank you

this is the best channel to study for mcat. Straight and to the point. And VERY intuitive and conceptual. I say better than Khan Academy

All these videos make Khan academy seem like a waste of my life. These are so straightforward and to the point. I absolutely hated how Sal spent half the video deriving the equation. Tell me what i must know Sal, dammitt!!

Outstanding, how can institutions spend all this time and effort fooling around practice problems v/s instructing fundamental conceptual concepts in a like manner? ----I hated this questions before in the context of a human body and blood vessels, standing v/s sitting positions, but now I feel confident in the application of Bernoulli's Law, ......I can see further now standing on the PremedHQ shoulders!!----Thank you sir!!!

I’m rewatching the video, but I am now confused how the fluid going from B to C’s velocity stayed constant. Since cross-sectional Area decreased from B to C, shouldn’t Velocity go up? Thank you!
@christinac11957 жыл бұрын
Very helpful! Thank you! :D But quick question for clarificaiton... from point B to C why was there a "?" for the pressure? If the KE was increasing, why couldn't you assume like the previous examples, that pressure was decreasing?

A quick clarification (all these years later because they are still GOAT'd for MCAT prep even in 2024): The "?" at point B -> C should indeed be decrease. This is just a small error in the video. Tested this with random numbers, and in every instance the only way K stays constant, P has to decrease due to an increase in the KE. Source: Asked my Physics prof (PhD), and several 520+ MCAT tutors
