Jennifer Batten has a fantastic book called Ultra Intervallic Guitar Licks that uses the same approach with 4ths, 5ths, 6ths and 7ths in various modes. I got it last year and it's completely changed the way I think about scales and modes and most importantly it's revolutionised the way I solo. It's a great concept that's well worth learning. Keep up the good work Bernth.

I have a quick question and I hope that someone can help... I recently started playing the electric guitar after playing the acoustic guitar for 2 years. Thanks to my guitar teacher, I've never had a pick in my hand. So the question: I have at least 2 hours a day to practice (2-4). Does it make more sense to practice many different ones of these 10,25... minute videos, or just a few, and then just repeat the parts that are difficult for me in one piece? I'm just wondering how useful that is and whether you can actually make any progress without breaks.. Thanks for reading and hopefully someone can help Bernth du bist echt die beste Motivation zum üben die es gibt😃😃👍🏻👍🏻Danke das du dir so viel Mühe mit den Videos und Patreon kursen gibst

Whatever keeps you playing. I kind of like chasing my favorite classic riffs and licks. Short chunks of things I've wanted to know how to play since childhood. Makes it easy to progress and a couple of hours is lots of time to practice each new technique by rote.

Hopefully, I can help answer your question. I would suggest first having a clear specific guitar goal. Then each lesson focus on ONE thing but vary on the HOW in your 2 hours. For instance, this week - harmonic minor in the key of A. Monday: - chromatic warm-up - alternate pick the pattern (no metronome) - alternate pick the pattern (with the metronome) - just goof around with the pattern for fun Tuesday: - chromatic warm-up - downpick the pattern (no metronome) - downpick the pattern (with the metronome) - goof around with the pattern BUT this time figure out which is more fun for YOU - alternate picking or downpicking Wednesday: - chromatic warm-up - now decide if you prefer alternate picking (a) or downpicking (b) If (a) repeat Monday's routine and keep bumping up the tempo until you can CLEANLY play at your desired bpm. If (b) repeat Tuesday but switch downpicking for string skipping. You keep bumping up the speed and start focusing on writing riffs (the part where you "goof around") but this time focusing on the IV, V and vii chords. Hope this helps.

@@_____8106 you're 100% right! It's also a fun way to release tension because playing slow can be super frustrating as well.

with the minor, minor, major and the interval of the notes matching up: it is very similar to whipping post by the allman brothers band. The minor minor major regarding the main progression, and the intervals of the scale you have chosen regarding the harmonic riff after the line 'sometimes i feel like im dying'. Very cool stuff.
