As someone the started skating in the 90's in Ireland when there was not a single skate park in the entire country, to see a kid from Donegal, who practiced an a shed win the Battle of the Berrics is absolutely nuts. Jamie is an absolute legend. 🇮🇪
@ToperRS2 жыл бұрын
Really interesting to see someone win on some crazy tricks, mostly in regular stance, rather than beating every trick to death in four stances. Definitely a big difference to a lot of berrics battles.
@CrossWindsPat2 жыл бұрын
I don't know there is something about that war of attrition I love.
@tomcampbell89342 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’m so sick of seeing every trick in every stance. It gets boring quick. Especially when it’s 4 kickflips followed by 4 heel flips and so on
@Peksisarvinen2 жыл бұрын
I've been saying this for years. Ollie and nollie, fair enough, they look distinct and have a distinct air to them. But switch and fakie are just completely pointless. Skaters today are so good that kickflip and switch flip look like the exact same trick, and the only way you'll be able to tell which one it was is if you know the skater's preferred stance.
@brandonritchie106 Жыл бұрын
I disagree other than PRod, and a select few others, I can tell if it’s switch or regular, the shoulders usually tend to be closed when people skate switch, besides Prod who opens his switch, but still I can tell because I know Prod is goofy, you learn somebody’s stance real fast after seeing them skate a few times

As soon as I found out Jamie was in batb I was like "this dudes taking it" his list of tricks is absolutely ridiculous that late Casper flip and that Merlin twist are absolutely dangerous to any competitor because you never see them anywhere else but you can tell he's worked hard to get them down because of how clean they are
@gagethompson89432 жыл бұрын
@backsideflip um he has 2 the Casper flip and the Merlin twist and if the Casper flip is so easy how come I've never seen someone he's skated against land it hell almost half the time he takes a couple tries to land it
@andybruce9042 жыл бұрын
@@gagethompson8943 i agree Casper flip is very difficult just like most skate tricks. When they start adding the 180's or the late flips in there its gnarly. THen switch , nollie or fakie, I think the skate game is going to get elevated like crazy one day. Def progressing.
@gagethompson89432 жыл бұрын
@Kal El whatever you say my dude if it's that easy than a true professional like Chris Cole would've had no issues hitting it first try considering the other truly gnarly things he's done in his overall career
@Unseen.Warfare2 жыл бұрын
@@gagethompson8943 I grew up with a kid who had them on lock. Once you learn that trick and get it on lock it’s like any other. Had another friend who had forward flips and pressure flips on lock the same way. My buddy who passed won an the amateur Es game of skate when he was like 16. Joey amero. Brian peacock and him have a similar style. He never tried to copy that style either, it was just how he skated haha. Miss that dude. Anyways, yea difficulty varies and some people are so talented that the very technical and complex tricks come very easy to them. I seen my friend do the most unreal tricks first try sometimes and it would be like it was nothing to him. Some people have a real gift. It’s unexplainable. Most of these tricks aren’t attainable to the average human being haha.
