Wegovy and Ozempic are the same medication--semaglutide. It shouldn't affect your sense of smell any differently than Wegovy did. Wegovy actually comes in higher maximum dose levels. Just an FYI.

I know the two are the same and Wegovy is a higher dose that’s yet to be approved for diabetes. My prior endo was a part of one of the labs that’s been involved in trials, etc. I was on Wegovy for several years and coming down to Ozempic has caused the original side effects to re-emerge. Unfortunately, my sense of taste and smell changing has been the roughest side effect of both. I was totally past it until I switched down to Ozempic. I hate it.
