I have never had a more emotional attachment to a work of art then Berserk. The story, the characters, the world, and the art just drew me right in and truly spoke to me. A story of vengeance, love, horror, war, and most of all humanity. It is pretty much solely responsible for pulling me out of my own cesspit of despair. Truly it was the greatest manga of all time, hell it was the greatest story of all time. Rest in peace Miura Sensei, we all will miss you and your amazing works that changed many lives, I hope you were proud of your achievements and of your fan base who loved your works so dearly.

The character designs and world details are too hard to animate frame by frame. And if they did choose to draw it frame by frame it would cost too much money the budget can handle. They had to use CGI because it was the cheaper option, although they probably knew the fandom wouldn't appreciate it one bit they still did it just to get the series up and running again.

There's a lot more wrong with that dumpster fire than just bad animation. Like how they removed entire arcs and left out several scenes of character development. As for the animation, the problem is less that they used CGI and more that the team used for it had no experience with CGI.
