I started as a keyboard player during my elementary school years. I remember looking up online about this MM6 keyboard and was very interested. I watched this back in 2008. Years later, now being a bass player, I bought this keyboard used at a music store back in 2017. I bought it for about $214 after the tax charge, and it was a good steal deal. I began using this keyboard mainly for synth bass. Then I found a video of the same guy here where he can also play bass. I didn't know this guy also plays bass. Very nice!

Bert's enthusiam for music alone is contangous enough for me to go out and purchase one! Even if it is an "Entry-Level" Synth Worksation!

I never came back and said anything after I ordered my MM8 a year ago. All I can say about this keyboard is that if it is in your price range and you want something that you feel should probably cost more, order it. I have definitely NOT been sorry I bought it. It's a wonderful keyboard that has brought me lots of satisfaction.

Bert, I am a semi-professional keyboardist, playing more for church than gigs these days. Thank you for an excellent, and exciting, intro to the MM6 - I really enjoyed it! PS: The only thing I found lacking in the demo was the electric organ - sounded pretty synthetic. But then I'm an ex-B3 owner (Leslie 122 and 910).

He gets quite excited and is a bit crazy. But it's nice to see someone who loves music as much as he does.

This keyboard from Yamaha is realy realy great!!! I find Yamaha make more keyboards for amateurs but this thing is amazing, the mm6 is much more than a keyboard for starters i think.

@ViniciusGuitarGuy Press PATTERN and select one, then press START/STOP to start your selected Pattern. Metronome is just a "ticking clock" to help you keeping a Tempo ;-) If you have other questions, just ask via Inbox

@Sharpblade91 from what ive heard, this board is not not a worksatation, you cant loop, quantize, or import and export wav files. if you connected it to an interface and a daw than you can do alot more. at least thats what the dudes at guitar center told me.

@europe85hollywood I think they call it a keyboard for starters because of the price. This thing is ready for the stage. You can do so many things with it. Add some editing software (a lite version ships with it sometimes) and the sky is pretty much the limit, actually.

4:44. I too agree that this is very important if you are a musician. Or even not.
@meldmagic13 жыл бұрын
@vonne25000 You should also try a soft-synth like Garritan Personal Orchestra. Memory on keyboards to load sample sets is small compared to PC RAM. eg. 128MB versus 4GB.
@Sharpblade9113 жыл бұрын
@mytrifanesti that is his job ;) . but his price i rather affordable compared other synthesaizers. that's the reason why this is an entry machine... here in greece it costs 530 euros, while others cost 1200 and 1500 euros... :)
@dayh813 жыл бұрын
@ut000bs I see you posted this a year ago. How do you like your MM8 now that you've had plenty of time to play with it? Thanks for any input.

Listen. I have the Korg Triton ProX, Yamaha MOTIF6 & Roland XV5080. In their day (late 90's-early 00's) they were top of the line :flagship" models. (& they're still HQ units). IMO, Roland is flat out superior, all the way around. W/o question, Roland has the best "acoustic" sounds (piano & guitars are amazing) & great electronic/"synth" sounds. Korg has the great "synth" sounds & good acoustic sounds. Yamaha, while not as good as either, has a decent blend of acoustic/synth sounds. ;-)

Cubase LE, it's a stripped down version of Cubase. It's actually really good, i occasionally use Cubase LE 5 and it's got up to 48 channels and a lot of functionality.

@ssjcloud13 жыл бұрын
I tried one in store, it doesn't come anywhere close to how it sounds in this video, and it felt like a $200 keyboard. The piano sound is very thin and overly processed...The keys on mm8 felt very awkward. However, the keys on the Mo6 and Mo8 were great!
