When Bert was talking about arguing with his wife every Christmas Eve for years… Man.. That hit me right in the heart. For as outgoing and over the top of a personality as he has, he’s clearly been insecure all his life. Those Christmas Eve fights happen when a man feels he is not being the kind of provider he is supposed to be. Bert was probably already doing enough, but wanted to do way more… That’s a good Dad. Good for you, Bert. Insecure or not, you have a great heart.

Natasha, the older definition of 'glamour' is magic or enchantment, a kind of spell. Older women who remain beautiful do this by being aware of what has changed over time and adapting to those changes with acceptance and leaning into them instead of fighting them off.

I think what Bert was trying to articulate is that good looking people have this power, but then some of those people rely on it to do the heavy lifting. Natasha is obviously very beautiful, but she's also lead an interesting life, is one of the funniest comics around, has a family, has done so many projects, etc etc. if the physical part wanes, she's still attractive. This person Bert describes at the Bar being ignored by a bartender is probably someone that coasted on their physical attributes.

I hope that they would explain that doing ayahuasca requires a specific herb that is technically an MAOI inhibitor and that is actually the reason why you shouldn't do any other substances including certain foods like aged meat or cheeses. Normally the DMT inside the Mimosa hostilis root bark would not be able to cross the blood-brain barrier which is why DMT is usually smoked but for it to be orally consumed like in ayahuasca it has to be accompanied by way of a specific herb that opens you up to the possibility of sickness or death with improper Foods or substances. Usually they will tell you this and why you should only eat mild fruits beforehand. It is not something to be taken lightly.

The 'being pretty' thing definitely *does* exist for men. Essentially, whilst there's definitely a level where charisma, animal attraction, etc, still work if you're not attractive, if you are a *HOT* man and you smile at someone (whether it's got any 'intent' or you're just smiling) you are 200% less likely to be shouted at for being a creep. I've never been super hot, but I've occasionally been OK'ish, and I've seen this in life. Either way, whatever sex you are, there have been literal studies (like in the 90s, I think) about if you're more attractive by current societal standards you will genuinely have an easier life with regards to getting and keeping jobs.

I rwally want to know what they charged for this experience. Backyard would've been better honestly. She needs to go down to Costa Rica next time, this is not how the hotel queen does ayahuasca.
