So by the end lore, I'd guess that there's a Lillith Eda like situation all over again, one sister curses her other sister to win something they both want. Although Scott is still my favorite, you are already up there with him. Also, if you pause on the right time while looking at the moon, a face is kinda visible. May just be luck of the tree's placement but wanted to point it out.

What im getting from this is that Bertha's sister betrayed her, took her powers or sealed them, turning them into the Nowhere/Everywhere. Then likely her sister became the former Supreme Witch. It would be max drama if Bertha came back or escaped from something (the void?) and killed her sister in revenge, kicking off her running the Trials, since presumably as she's not a witch (anymore), they can't be Supreme witch. Or the supreme witch's death released her from the void. Love it :D
