I think Spiderhorse uses the tag team platform to do more creative routines than the typical ‘I do beat, you do generic bass sound’. Also, they’ve practiced each other’s sounds to the point that sometimes it’s hard to tell who is doing what sound.

I was there live and have to say, that it was really close. Spiderhorse had amazing Crowd Control, they were really loud. Bery was rly good too, both could have won. I think if Bery would have been second to go, they would have won it.

People blame the judges even when spiderhorse won by a 3-2 vote. I honestly think it’s fair that spiderhorse won. Yes they didn’t have new routines, but the judges don’t count what they did at GBB over to worlds. This is a whole new competition and anything they’ve done before is valid just like how k-Pom can repeat their stuff. Also, spiderhorse clearly had the crowd hype, and there’s no way you can rig the crowd into liking their routines. So, before you all give our world champions shit, you gotta look at it at a broader perspective and understand that they worked hard for their title.

Both killed it. Whenever you judge the elite beatboxers, teams, loopstation battles, etc, you have to focus on the little things as to why someone wins or loses. Criticism or pointing out little details doesn't mean they are bad, but actually the opposite. There are no glaring issues so you have to expose the minutia to rationalize your decision, hence the idea of "categories." Bery killed it. Everything was clear, sounded good, and had good structure. The first round was solid in all aspects, but nothing really stood out. The second round hit much harder, but again, nothing stood out. It all felt a little lackluster. The crowd showed it. Spiderhorse killed it as well, obviouslty. Their execution on some parts may not have been perfect, but both rounds had beats that stood out. Their routines were more difficult in multiple aspects. They were more dynamic, and executed the heavy hitting parts much better. They made great music, and had the crowd going. Overall, when you look at all the categories, spiderhorse was just a little better in all of them this battle.

I don't think the complexity stand out. Their composition just out of this world with Gene lip oscillation reached another level and very ear blessing. Chris just incredibily improve from GBB 18 and didn't mess up anything. Gene lip sound could hit any frequency.

You’re only judged on what you’ve done in THIS comp, past comps don’t matter in the judges eyes. Spider Horse beat Bery with older routines but they didn’t reuse them in THIS comp so it doesn’t matter. Sure its repetitive for us online, but that doesn’t matter for the comp. i think its very important to bring something new to the table in this tag team format, because there are so many more opportunities with two beatboxers. I would say Spiderhorse had a solid performance here and perhaps the win too. But it hurts me to see the same routines from them over . and over again . it would be fine if they mastered their performances, but it is typically slighty off key which bothers me since they are so experienced . Bery showed new exciting stuff , coordination , vocal performance and even beating spiderhorse in harmonics
