Played this many a times hours on end. Depending on your settings, evil otto wont appear, or some levels you can shot otto.

Game selection 12 is the extremely easy children's version , there is no Evil Otto (smiley face that hunts you down if you take too much time ) , the robots also cannot shoot at you , Game 1 , 7 and 12 all feature no Evil Otto so you can take all the time you like ,,all the others have it enabled. it basically forces the player to rush each level or run .. Game selection also determines rather you can Shoot Otto or rather It is invincible,, difficulty switches don't do anything in this game. You can shoot diagonally.. The robots can not shoot diagonally in this version, (But the robots in the arcade game however do not have this limitation and can shoot every direction you can)

Too bad the robots don't taunt you like in the arcade version, that was so cool...if only they had ported it over to intellivision instead, they could have. but then, nobody liked that console's wacky dial controllers, and hardly anyone would have played it. the popularity of Atari helped the port become a great success.

Evil Otto (bouncing Smiley Face) won't ever come on some settings, and on some settings you cannot kill him. Also, I think on some setting the robots won't even shoot, making it an easy mode. This is considered a really good port, the original arcade version had voice, the robots would taunt you if you ran off the board without killing them all *"Chicken Human, Fight Robot"* Too bad it wasn't released on the Intellivision instead, because then they could have used to voice add on to make it perfect.
