Thats it? Then you can just plug and play? Is the extra power source needed?

I recommend the extra power source, yes. I had some power issues without. Make sure the USB power plug is at least 5V 3A or it might not be powerful enough. When you have the power socket on before activating the Dualsense, the Dualsense should be glowing purple - if not then there's not enough power being delivered to the Besaviour and it won't work (I sometimes find mine has issues powering up properly, if so just unplug and replug the USB power cable and it should power up properly).

I have a problem where i did everything the website, manual, and youtube videos said (Matrix in the back port, ps5 controller on the left port, then the usb-c power cord plugged into an external outlet, then have it plugged into the ps5) but my matrix flashes white, my ps4 controller flashes yellow, and my ps5 controller flashes purple.- Any fixes? I have also updated my u5 and martrix software to the most recent one on the forum.

Have you tried the matrix on its own to see if that works. Then maybe try to incorporate the U5. But honestly I have had no issues so I would of no good trying to diagnose the problem.

⚠Is it still a good idea to buy the Xim Matrix at this point? Sony has nuked the Besaviour with the latest PS5 firmware update and there is no recent feedback from the Besaviour team.

@@alexisalvarez2330 I think the Xim Matrix still works, but the Besaviour U5 adapter just got nuked by the latest Sony PS5 update. I just purchase the Xim Matrix and I'll test it and report back to this thread.

I've only ever used my headset directly with the xim matrix. Not worth the beloader and matrix.
