That trebuchet wasn't a trebuchet. One rule of a trebuchet is that it is EXCLUSIVELY powered by gravity. A contracting spring does not use gravity. The trebuchet you used was powered with a contracting spring. Therefore, most trebuchets in Besiege are catapults, not trebuchets. If I got anything wrong, it was a bit difficult to word this.

As far as I know, it can be considered a trebuchet because trebuchets mostly come in two varieties, the counterweight trebuchet, which is what your referring to, and traction trebuchets, which instead of having a counterweight propelling the object using gravity, it has people pulling a rope attached to the arm, although it doesn't use people it has the same effect with a rope pulling the arm down. I don't blame you for not knowing what a traction trebuchet is, since its always the counterweight ones you see in movies or games.

Perhaps this is well known in the community, I've been playing the game for a couple months now but only just took a peek at it's community, but I figured out why people have trouble lifting knights... The knight has 4 states as near as I can tell (probably more that I'm not thinking of but at least four): The first state is when the knight is idle, not moving or anything except always rotating to face towards the player's machine. The second is when the knights are hopping towards the machine. The third and fourth are the two death animations - the fetal position and the spread-eagle position. In the first two states, the game won't let them rotate forwards/backwards or side to side (Pitch and roll for you airplane enthusiasts) TL;DR: *Living* knights can't fall over, even when you grab them and swing 'em around.
