We Korean actually something like that it's called a Hwacha which use large metalic arrow and literally shoot hundred of them like a rain though it had bad accuracy Or if you prefer we have a medieval ironclad that use poison gas in a form of a dragon head in the front and a round shape ship which we called the Turtle Ship
