Great sound quality. Often these old recordings don't have a good quality but this was good, a majestic voice.

Tired of bein' lonely, tired of bein' blue I wished I had some good man, to tell my troubles to Seem like the whole world's wrong Since my man's been gone I need a little sugar in my bowl I need a little hot dog on my roll I can stand a bit of lovin', oh so bad I feel so funny, I feel so sad I need a little steam-heat on my floor Maybe I can fix things up, so they'll go What's the matter hard papa Come on and save your mama's soul 'Cause I need a little sugar, in my bowl, doggone it I need a some sugar in my bowl I need a little sugar in my bowl I need a little hot dog between my rolls You gettin' different, I've been told Move your finger, drop something in my bowl

Last year in ninth grade I heard this song at school on the news in Ms. Lemay's classroom. I should ask Ms. Lemay if she's ever listened to this song.

Not quite as great at "Put It Right Here" (which is about money, unlike Sugar in my Bowl) but pretty damned great.

Risque, is the word. Unlike today's music that shoves it in your face. This is kinda tongue in cheek, and comical. Gotta love that old music 😊
@petej70024 жыл бұрын
cheryl lakin todays music? Have you heard shave em dry or till the cows come home by lucille bogan where in one song she litterally talks about her nipples and the other she straight up says talking about fucking. 1930s music thats too dirty for todays radio ? What about warm my weiner by Bo carter? How about my girls pussy by Harry roy ? Dont play yourself by glorifying the past at least todays music we don’t pretend to be holier than thou.

Pete J that type was music was rare and it was hidden. Those times were better period

Sunshine It was rare ? How rare when they played it after hours at a bar .Your talking about an america where safe sex wasn’t a thing and prostitution was in your face. Don’t fool yourself , into thinking anytime was better than today. If anything you are just witness of a natural evolution of yesteryear .
