What do you recommend as for as materiel in making the piston valves on trumpet and why....monel, nickel plated or chrome?

I'm pretty sure monel is a nickel alloy and it is used a lot for valves because it is moderately lightweight and durable

It's a cornet I believe, although it could be an old model flugelhorn that is somewhere inbetween the current flugels and cornets. Just search 'Brassed off concierto d'Aranjuez'

I play a courtois cornet now, but I really want a besson cornet, but I can't make my mind up which one to choose, sovereign or prestige. although, I still have a lot of time to think, because I can't afford it yet. Musical instruments are expensive for a student! :D

I've got a Sovereign and it's absaloutely brilliant; great sound, valves move easily and good quality but if you want a more professional one than a prestige is even better.

Your Besson is a students model. The Besson company produces its' high end models in England.

i am seaching for the address and email of besson factory to send my old trumpet of besson for repairs or remode becuase it has no hole for salivas or spit to come down and some little holes on the valves and the threads of the valve. please if anybody can help me i greatly appreciate your effort.thanks in advance.

In the video you can see a pipe that has "Made in France" engraved in it... Which is weird because I have a Besson and it says "London" on it.

There are cheaper models and places of manufacture of their instruments. I had a silver Besson trumpet for years until I was broke in 1999 and pawned it got like $50.

Both of my Besson trumpets are made in USA. Both are awesome playing and sounding trumpets.
