Farms are a big hurdle for me, never made much more than aesthetic crop farms or tree fields. This video made me do another first; linking farms to one another. I built his tree farm and hooked it up to this and made it toggle on and off, so I can choose wood or fuel. I just went afk on and off for a couple hours and already have a double chest of charcoal. One of my favorite builds now, its too useful!

Thanks Jason! One tip. Put charcoal (at least 2) in first slot of fuel feeding hopper than fill the other four slots with 1 dirt block each (or anything else that can't be used as fuel) to get charcoal in the chest faster.
@MumboMaya8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the tip my friend, I just did that now.
@skittelman8 ай бұрын
Which ones do you mean?
@jamesbeasley56018 ай бұрын
The hoppers that feed into the back of the furnace. They will fill up with 5 stacks of charcoal. Or you can put something that doesn’t burn in the other four slots of the hopper and get the charcoal in the chest faster.

You can do the same thing just by placing wood in a furnace without all that redstone stuff, so I'm not fully understanding the need for this. Though the auto fuel refill is somewhat neat.

Logs to charcoal gotta be the worst trade off in minecraft
@joes41947 ай бұрын
Logs are easily renewable. Plenty of trees are undesirable for building because of color. A tree farm of ugly trees gives you infinite coal and eliminates the need to go mining for torch fuel.

I traveled more than 10 days in mcpe but not able to find jungle biome 🥲🥲 I use some trees as fuel that I don't like, because I mined more than 3chests of cobblestone, 6stacks iron, 2stack diamond, 2.5+ chest of deepslate and 2 chest of others excluding dirt but I got only 3-4 stack of coal 😬😬
@Hateknot59745 ай бұрын
If you would’ve paid attention you’d know this farm fuels itself. Idk how many logs it takes to get it to be self sustainable but doesn’t matter, I’ll trade a few hundred logs for infinite charcoal all day and twice on Sunday lol😂

@TheAirplaneSimp3 ай бұрын
There is nothing wrong. After the furnaces are filled with charcoal, the hoppers leading to them will also fill up. It's only once the hoppers are filled with charcoal that the double chest will begin to fill. If the farm hasn't produced a lot of charcoal yet, you can just grab as much charcoal as you need from the furnace. Just remember to leave at least 1 to keep fueling the farm.
@Afukolhu5 ай бұрын
WTH! I like this farm. This farm can also be used to make an infinite kelp for fuel farm, I think.

Followed this and it's working great! although there's one issue in that only the right side furnace seems to be smelting and receiving the charcoal? The Left furnace is inactive and doesn't smelt. This is overcomplicated for no reason. You can just stack input chest to hopper to oven to hopper right on top of each other, with output chest at bottom in front of last hopper. Absolutely no need for droppers, Redstone lines and water elevators just to have the output at the back and up in the air..
