Believe me we have used this everywhere if you feel like you could be cold we just take an extra base layer. It’s a great 3 season quilt but also what you can do is layer a sleeping bag with a quilt they sell that kind of system as well.

They're great. I use one for hammock camping. Great quality, warm, lightweight and 1/3 of the price of a thermarest or sea to summit top quilt.

So I love long distance hiking so I went with the ice flames. I believe they have just released a new one also sold at outdoor gear essentials. I would choose this one and it will probably be my next one. I´m at the Jura mountains near Geneva so hope to start with some snowcamping after trying out in me garden :D just have to get a half decent set of gear together first

I also saw a really good tarp shelter from aliexpress. It omly weighs around 350g and can be pitched using 2 trekking poles.and it provides much more shelter than a regular tarp because it only has 1 entrence opening which makes it much more wind and rain resistant.

All good items apart from the sunglasses. Cheap sunglasses are an absolute no no in my opinion. They are far worse than none at all as they allow you to gaze at the harmful rays but I would not be trusting chineseiam ratings on them where my eyes are concerned. In fact shades should never be cheaped out on ;)

Very good point. Actually as we speak I’m looking for a good pair of polarised glasses. But yes fair point. I only got them because of how cheep they were + thought I’d lose an expensive pair on the trail .

@@escapeoutdoors. I’d just head to somewhere like TK max if you don’t want to go crazy with cost. Grab any branded pair of whatever brand from Adidas to Guess to Puma, wouldn’t matter which. You can at least trust the ratings that way. I think even brands like Bolle won’t break the bank if you don’t want to wear your Ray Bans etc while hitting the hills.

On the understanding that these are just very cheap products and the fact we are highly taxed in this country why not. Also everything is manufactured in the east ( china ) all I did was cut the middle man out. But going even deeper if China was to go into it recession the whole world economy breaks down that means every job in the UK that is relying on there manufacturing is at risk. The horrible thing is the UK has sold everything off to china years ago it’s just a matter of time before we stop manufacturing anything. But all in all it’s cheap. & the sad thing is we live in a throw away society which scares me even more ( knock on effect )more pollution more damage to nature. Your question is a good question & I know what you mean but again Alixpress is a store the same as Gooutdoors but where do you think there products are made. Just a thought 💭
