It's also riddled with spelling mistakes. it's not bad, but I think it skims over some basics too quickly. it doesnt explain what a bowden and direct drive set up is, flashes some pros and cons in text really short on screen while talking about something else and than continues to drone on about bowden vs direct drive during the printer recommendation. Also, TPU is perfectly printable with a bowden set up.

@sierraecho884 Жыл бұрын
Many mistakes here: 1. Main Materials is PLA, PETG, TPU then ASA ABS etc. 2. Bowden extruder is generally speaking cheaper while direct drive is better. And no there is no recent bias toward them this has always been the case they were just more expensive and heavier 3. Print bed, which material your bed is made of is important. Best type is a coated spring steel material since it flexes and is magnetic. 4. Size, bigger is not better bigger is more difficult to handle especially shrinkage wise. 5. Slicer, go with Prusa Slicer really or some other iteration of the slicer like SuperSlicer 6. Community size is important for beginners.

Thank you for your videos - I am new to 3D printers, and your info is invaluable. I am in Canada, and have a very small apartment with limited exhaust options, and two cats. Therefore I think enclosed may be better? The Flashforge Adventurer 3 Pro is a frontrunner @ $589 CAD shipped. But it is small, and I can't afford to just upgrade every now and then. So the Adventurer 4 seems great, has a HEPA filter, but is $999 CAD shipped. Not out of the running, but up there in price for me. In your opinion, am I way off the mark? I can get the Creality Ender-3 S1 for $428 CAD shipped, but need to look at some kind of enclosure, which all seem soft-sided (not cat-proof) and don't have exhaust fans or filtration. So torn between all of them. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much for your content!

He just reads some specs tho, does not look like he actually used them. It's good to checkout people showing how they work with them & what they say after at least one year of using it if you won't buy a "surprise package" ^^
@LuigisProductReviews2 жыл бұрын
Hey dabruuzer, Considering your situation and that you have 2 cats , I understand why you want an enclosed printer. Luckily the fumes from fdm printers are not so bad. Unless you are using ABS material. So you just need to think about enclosing the printer in a way that the cats can't reach them. A less conventional method could be, to get an ender 3 s1, and a cover ( something like an aquarium tank that's the right size of the printer.) the benefits is the tanks are not so expensive, you will see through them to see what the printer is doing, and your cats won't reach it. The negatives is that you will have to lift the tank every time you start and finish printing. If you don't want this hassle, then as you say buying a ready enclosed printer would be better. I see you are concerned about build size too. I'm not sure what you plan on printing. But Considering the market the $999 CAD Adventurer 4 is normally more pricey than that. And the $589 adventurer 3 pro is normally cheaper than that. So it might be a good opportunity to take advantage of the prices and go for the bigger size. *ps if you are looking for cheaper, check the adventurer 3 lite, which is like the 3 pro, but no camera, and has a different bed* but $90 cheaper* Hope that was helpful :)

Ender s1 do not have linear advance option, which means if you need accurate prints, especially the ones that will fit in each other you will print at 10-25mm/s, the higher speed the more sharp edges will stick out.
@gunhann2 жыл бұрын
Which one do you suggest that have linear advance option?
@tobuyornottobuy23192 жыл бұрын
@@gunhann you need to check how to enable it first, as specific drivers and motherboard do not support it at all and it depends which components is in your machine. Prusa do support it. You can check many videos on youtube on how to enable it in your printer but mostly it requires to changer motherboard and drivers.

@tobuyornottobuy23192 жыл бұрын
@@gunhann I would say is more about how good you are with making upgrades yourself. The best option is delta with Klipper installed, it prints damn fast with perfect quality, like 150-200mm/s with 5000 accelartion and perfect details and geometry. But to upgrade one requires some knowledge, no newbie friendly. Apart from that Core XY is another option that performs better than cartesian. And all in all it comes to money and how much work you want to put into printer to make it print perfectly and fast. Sadly there isn't any printer available on market and you plug and play without upgrades, unless you ok to print slow that will take days to make just small toy or any part.

@ZenLee2 жыл бұрын
same question
@LuigisProductReviews2 жыл бұрын
Hello Xavier, The flsun super racer, is quite a nice option. the way it works is a little different from the ones in this list in terms of x,y,z axes. This can result to faster print speeds, but still if you print at its fastest settings, you will see around a 10% reduction in quality. Overall, the printer has some minor flaws, like the bed not being the best. and the fact that it can take quite some finicking around with the settings to get the best results. So, Personally, I would suggest this printer to anyone who already has experience 3d printing already, and wants to upgrade their build size and quality in the long run. If you are ok paying the extra cost, and patient with finding the perfect settings though, then the flaws on this printer will be solved. Hope this was helpful :)

Amazing video, and really helpful too! What is your opinion on the sidewinder x2? I’m looking at that or the ender v2 max
@LuigisProductReviews2 жыл бұрын
Thank you :) Sorry I will give you a hefty answer :P. Both the options you are thinking about are very good options. The sidewinder x2 made it to Number 7 in my list out of the 40 printers. I would compare the sidewinder x2 with the longer LK5 pro, because they are very similar (both same build size) But differences are that: LK5 pro prints faster, and is around $100 cheaper VS sidewinder x2 has direct drive and auto bed levelling. If you are interested in dabbing into more flexible filaments later, then sidewinder x2 will win the fight. Otherwise LK5 pro wins. There is also the Sidewinder Genius pro , which is basically a smaller cheaper version of the sidewinder x2. So. If you are looking for build size. Then the Sidewinder x2 is better, but if you don't care too much about size then its better to compare the artillery genius pro with the ender 3v2 as they are more similar. Artillary Genius pro is around 100 Dollars more than the Ender 3v2. And this is because the Genius pro has ( 1. Auto bed leveling, which costs around $25 dollars to upgrade on the ender 3v2, 2. Dual Z Axis, which costs around $70 dollars to upgrade, 3. Direct Drive, which costs around $40 to upgrade) = total upgrades of 135 But Ender 3v2 has 32 bit motherboard, which is around $50 so ------> 135 - 50 = $85 Upgrades VS $100 Price difference. Overall, Based on this. My suggestion would be, to get the Ender3 v2. And then if you feel like you need to upgrade it, you can do so (lots of youtube videos on upgrades) But, if you don't want the hassle and just want a ready good 3d printer. Then the Sidewinder genius pro would be better. PS. If you were talking about ender 3 max and not ender 3v2, then I prefer the Sidewinder x2 over the ender 3 Max. Hope this was helpful :)
