@@master4gameplays 1 gpu's went up drastically 2 cpu's went up but not as bad & 3 ram did go up, almost double or more, all because of miner's... they want th he best and a lot of it, 32-64 GB of ram etc.... so in reality you definitely blame miner's for the inflation of all the parts gamers need to build with🙄 but its starting to go back down... a little lol, and with nvidia about to release their rtx 20 series, the gpu's will drop even further 😉

Ok where do I start, I see ppl commenting that this is over $400 and frankly with the discount on the mobo and the ram kit deal it is $400 or less. And I see ppl telling this man to buy a ps4 rather than a PC... That's stupid because the benefits of PC are not only graphics it is the flexibility, free online, the accuracy of keyboard and mouse, the ability to use ANY controller, game deals, more genres, more exclusives ect. The bottom line is that people think that a PC is all about 1080p ultra 60fps and it's not. Sure graphics are a great part of PC gaming but everything else out ways it and telling someone to buy a console and give up that right is just ignorant. And the Windows ten OS is software and the point of the video was how much PC hardware can u get for $400 not counting keyboard and mouse and/or monitor. I love PC gaming and I have nothing against console gaming, in fact I disagree with the elitist and peasant argument but every console gamer needs to know that PC is superior and it's OK to have a console but a PC is just a great option that it is foolish to buy a ps4 unless you have a PC and don't like emus so u get the PlayStation to play uncharted or what have you. Thank you Joe for this amazing build guide and it helped me get into PC gaming now I have an i5 and a 1060 following your upgrade path. Bottom line is that pc gaming is not for everyone but the benefits are great for those who are fortunate enough to take advantage of this glorious experience.

@@dsgzoom9026 it's not the greatest for today's games. just buy a G4560 8GB of ram and then go on eBay and try to find a GTX 960 4gb for around 100-110 and buy a 500w power supply from EVGA bstock. the 960 4gb is better than the 1050 and performs like a 1050ti

Just download windows media creation tool on a separate PC, plug the installation disk you made with that tool into the new PC, installing windows is very straightforward from there. After that, normally windows 10 will install chipset and CPU drivers by default, and you'll need to google "nvidia drivers" that should take you to the site where you can download the drivers, I normally choose express during the installation because GeForce Experience can be useful, but do what you want. After installing that you're done. Well, if you know how to install steam, origin, uplay, etc. if you don't then you can always google for help.

I'm with everyone else here. The 1050 definitely won't match the PS4 Pro. The RX 470 on the other hand would be a great comparison (more powerful but possibly less optimized in different games). The extra $30-$40 would be a much better deal overall, and I stick to the opinion that anyone building a PC from scratch and all new parts with a budget of at least $400 should spend the extra little bit and get a minimum of an RX 470.

Pepe The Frog The 470 is more than 25% ahead of the 1050 ti on average though. And considering that they're often pretty close in price, the 1050 ti doesn't seem like a great deal unless you're putting it in a pre-built with no 6-pin cable.

Psst! Don't forget to tell people about thermal paste. FYI for anyone building a pc for the first time, thermal paste goes on top of the processor before you put the cpu cooler on. Nothing complicated, a decent pea sized amount is really all you need. Edit: unless your cpu cooler comes with it preapplied to it. Not sure if all do and if you go with aftermarket or you happen to buy a used one you will need thermal paste.

The stock Intel heat sink comes with pre applied thermal paste. I should have probably left a note to let people know, they may need thermal paste with other coolers tho. I overlooked it because the Intel heat sink is already pre applied with thermal paste.

I did the calculations and for October the 31st 2017 the total cost comes out to 541.99 USD. A little bit more costly but it is still very much a budget PC. I want to run destiny 2 on it. Don't know if I can eventually ill be getting that GPU upgrade to the radeon rx570 which runs destiny 2 PC buttery smooth at solid 80FPS highest settings.

Cade Veljovich he caught everything at the right time, ad he went to micro centre for the second and third most expensive item and got a discount deal. These videos don't tell you this, but this video is pretty good considering every other video has parts that were cheap, but then inflated and the 400-500 dollar bill comes to 600-900 smh. I've watched almost every video on this budget topic and this one is the best so far with a price just over 400 at 435-450. This is nice because my budget is 500, I have 1000 to spend but I need the extra cash for keyboard and mouse, monitor, desk, chair, and a headset.

Switch out the i3 and get the g4560, that will save you 50$ and it performs the same and for that extra money go and get the gtx 1050 ti instead

So many people talking about the cost of windows.... --_-- It's annoying. Google Windows 10 Download and it takes you directly to Micorshits website where it can be downloaded for free with limited use. If you want to activate windows go buy a $20-$30 Key from various retailers. OR Do what I did and take the Windows 7 product key off of an old PC and use that in the new PC. Or even better visit a library or any other spot as such and take a pic LOL. When I was in HS I got quite a few keys LMAO!!!

Teh Haxor​​ its not really a gpu that consoles have, its more of a integrated chipset, but call it what you like, the fps difference you refer to is because on the pc they dont graphically downgrade the game just so it achieves 60 fps, they downgrade certain visuals on consoles, anti-ailiasing being a big one, and you tend not to notice on a console because you're farther away from the screen on a couch or something, that doesnt mean its better, because on pc you can choose what settings you want to play at and whether you want higher framerates and lower visuals or lower framerates and better, crisper visuals.

Not really, it's unofficially a down-clocked Vega-11 GPU due to lowest yields.

no boost clock thats how... and the jaguar cores are really weak so it causes bottlenecks. rx 470 has a base clock of 926mhz compared to boost that is 1206 or higher that is a big difference

You can also buy a motherboard with wi-fi integrated into it. My little mini-ITX has 2 wi-fi antennas like you would find on a router. Pretty cool cause I can take it to a coffee shop or something and play with my friends.

I just bought full windows 10 pro from allkeyshop . com from the seller psngames . org and so far so good. I used a key so I didn't reinstall windows I just upgraded my free version. the free version restricts visual things like background etc... so feel free to use the free version but in the lower corner it will have a water mark that says activate windows if u use the free version.
