I would put fate in there as well. His team synergy on ball and Orisa is what made Shanghai so good. Now it’s a lot harder for him to work without void, especially since the meta doesn’t favor him

@@mdsviridov kind of. But Fate is still pretty sick. Like his Winston play actually pretty nasty on a lot of maps. He just can't run ball for obvious reasons. Ball needs a major tune up

People like the teams that win": I feel like the teams I've had the most fun watching are those that still have a bit of underdog energy and do things uniquely. 2019 Shanghai Dragons and Chengdu were every bit as fun to watch, imo, as 2019 Titans and Shock for that reason, imo.

I think Punk and Crimzo are pretty likeable. Punk especially as the only Aussie in league and his presence is pretty noticeable and just has a likeable personality that we've seen. So that's a very good reason to like Boston imo. Plus they do have massive upset potential with what they have

On only successful teams have huge fan bases. I'd like to present exhibits A. Houston Outlaws and B. Chengdu Hunters of 2019-2020 when they were both floundering. They both kept incredibly high fan bases. Like super super big fan bases. And have kept them for a long time. Now they are quite successful or at least doing better. Really neither team hit any huge success until 2021 and then had some pretty nasty rosters. But both had very likeable and interesting rosters and playstyles that fans loved. IAD99 in chat totally forgot that ANS was quiet as fuck in the grand finals against Seoul. Go rewatch that match, Fits diffed him hard in the match, ANS just had a better team around him

It seemed more that the maps where Seoul won were the maps where ANS got diffed, the others he was pulling his weight.

And the stats also back that up, both fits and diem were significantly statistically ahead on widow. It wasn't even just a 10% difference, fits was almost doubling ANS in final blows per death (8.7/3.9 against 6.7/5.6), and before someone suggests that it was from farming low hp targets, fits had a ~20% higher solo kill rate.

I think maybe at his peak vs. Peak. But over their whole careers I think Birdring is better. I also think Birdring had some of his best play when the competition was the hardest, meaning in 2020 and 2021. Where as Carpe had his best moments in 2018 IMO.
